This is not about the refs. Everything that is wrong with this game since the 28 minute mark is a result of crappy play by the Dolphins. Sparano, the wideouts, Henne, the wildcat, the dline, the dbacks (other than stripping, I guess). Blaming the refs is lame.

It was about the refs. I counted 11 calls after that call. I'm not saying that we should have won everyone of them. But nearly all of them could have gone either way..


Every damn last one of them went against us.

Finally, the ultimate insult was preventing us from scoring a last touchdown.

Where was the rope party outside of the stadium as we used to say in the Ole West in the 1800s.

Bess fumble before half, pick return TD against us, tight formation on 4th and long at the end of the game......that was our stinking fault!

The one thing I will say about the refs:

That game-ending penalty with one second left? Yeah, they were making sure the Saints covered the spread.

Yeah don't want to blame the Refs for this loss, but that group was just terrible. I will be sending my complaint to the NFL front office. If those guys are blind, biased, or whatever they should not be working in the NFL.

RESPONSE: These weren't ref calls. Lookit, you can always give the other team every questionable call and argue that our team either 1) made mistakes of its own or 2) could have made better plays to compensate.

But if it makes you feel better to think you were not raped, just tell the police that you "did it" willingly.

The only thing that I can blame the refs is.....had they made the right call in the first place before the half the time would have expired with the ball at the half yard line......otherwise - how can you cry rape if your screwing yourself?! We blew it and there are no excuses otherwise!

I must confess that's a good comeback. How can you cry rape if you're screwing yourself?

While it all can't be blamed on the refs, they definitely did influence the game with subjective rulings and they all seemed to sway towards the Saints. This is something that can't happen on any level of refing.. we've complained about it for years in basketball and it was finally brought to light about how the refs were influencing games... and there were clearly instances in this game that the refs just flat got it wrong.. almost purposefully

so again, while not all their fault, they play a huge role in momentum, consistency, and confidence in what the dolphins were doing. To take things away from the dolphins that they deserved makes winning monumentally more difficult.

Most if not all players will openly admit that games are usually won or lost on a handful of plays. Those of you who try to rationalize out of that are just simply lying to yourselves or are trying to seem smarter than others with your bs explanation. If there's a general consensus on a subject that the vast majority agrees on, then usually the tendencies of that subject are true.

The refs totally blew their jobs on this game and heavily contributed to the phins loss.

I totally. I was on vacation, so I haven't posted, but the Ref made bad call at the end/beginning of the half (further help by Sparano's bad decision) made the difference two TD to the Saints that were wrong.

It changed the complexion of the game and game momentum to the Saints. Yes, the Dolphins still had the lead and did not take advantage of it or finish the game winning drive. I really do not think the Saints would have won the game with out those two gift at both sides of the half. The Saints big come was not from 21 points, it was really only from 10.

Really, I suggest you go look in the new SI that just came out with the picture of Ted Ginn CLEARLY knocking the ball out of Sharper's hand at least a yard BEFORE he crosses the goal line for his supposed pick 6. BTW the Ref is standing right there looking at it dead on!!!!!! Thats 7 unearned points right there. So just how many more did the Refs give the Saints? It should have been Miaim's ball on the 20, with everyone high fiving Ted but no he gets yelled at and belittled.

I pointed out that it was Ginn - who did make a lot of mistakes that afternoon - who made the play on the pick 6. He did it after picking himself up off the ground and hustling all the way.

It doesn't excuse the drop, which would have been a 3rd down conversion with Henne putting it on the money under heavy duress. And I am supportive of the tactics that Sparano seems to be using to motivate him.

But, the refs blew that big time and it cost us dearly. We would have likely kept driving a bit longer...possibly even kicked a FG...take time off the clock...punt and force them to drive the length of the field. It changed the game dramatically.

I agree 100 percent with gaphinfan.

clearly they blew that call.. same with the Bess fumble as well as the lack of review on the Brees td at the end of the half. If one of them is called as they should have been.. then this game is completely different.

Only goes to confirm suspicion that the refs are full of sh1t half the time. No way that you go and look at the video on that and say that he crossed the line with the ball. Even my 9 year old daughter saw that.
