A 3d for a KR is pretty high and doesn't seem like something the team would do. Plus he wants a lot of money apparently for someone who just returns kicks. That said, I'd give up a 4th for him. Not Roth, though, who we need. He is under contract for next year, right (Roth)? UNless there is a chance he walks and we get nothing for him, I say keep Roth, we don't have that many good LBs
As for Cribs, it would be nice to finally have a solid returner which we have NEVER had in the 25 years I've followed this team. But only if the price is right
Roth we need. Our linebackers suck, lets not mince words here. Jason Taylor has nothing left. Joey Porter looks to be pretty much shot as well. I could EASILY see Wake and Roth as our starting OLB Week 1 next year. Which I would actually think could be a strength on our defense as we know Roth can play and Wake's speed seems to be coming around on the field these days.
Give me Cribbs in the slot on 3rd downs lined up vs a nickle or dime corner, tell him to use his speed run to the goal-line and I will have the ball waiting for ya there with Henne throwing to him. Nothing fancy, no routes, just run past the guy as a #4 WR on certain plays...
Also Cribbs in our wildcat package (taking Cobbs role maybe) with our creative playcalling out of it, could be a huge asset. Ronnie, Ricky, Cribbs......3 guys who can break a huge play at any moment. Put Pat White in the wild cat with those 3 and jesus christ big play potential everywhere on the field. HOME RUN HITTERS!!!

I love Cribbs as a return guy, but if he's not going to be a WR for us, too, then he's not worth a high pick. I'd rather go after Dwayne Bowe and give up more in a trade rather than trade a high pick for a return specialist.
JT and Porter make no plays!! They are name value only at this point in their carrers.
And we are #5 vs the Run because nobody runs on us when they can pass all day on us and have success. Why run the ball, throw it. Miami can't cover anybody and committs a TON of penaltys in their secondary. That's why we are #5 vs the run
