As long as we didn't give up too much for him, I like the move. He started 11 games last year for a bad Chiefs team and still threw 18 TDs against 12 INTs. Plus he ran for a score or two and I think he even caught a TD pass.
Could be some quality depth at QB, or maybe even a potential starter down the road.
BTW Henne will be this teams qb. Thigpen is nothing but practice squad fodder. Like i said in another thread. Maybe they exchanged some magic beans in exchange for this future bust. Nothing more than a late late late 7th rounder for him i hope.
Thats right Chambers, he is solid, i mean come on they brought in Cassel, which of right now was a flop, and proof, that QB's in NE, are only solid because of the system they ran. Look at this year, Brady is being exposed.
FINALY A SOLID QB FOR THE CHEAP. MAN HE WAS SOLID FOR KC LAST YEAR, AND LOOK AT THEM. THIS YEAR CASSEL ISNT DOING AS GOOD AS THIGPEN DID LAST YEAR, AND THIGPEN CAN CATCH IN THE WILDCAT, WHICH HE DID LAST YEAR, I LIKE EM!!!! I LIKE EM!!! I LIKE EM!!! START THIGPEN!! Thigpen, a third-year pro, started 11 games for the Chiefs last year and threw for 2,608 yards with 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Hs rushing results last year 62 attempts for 386 yards for a average of 6.2 YPA, and 3 rushing Td's. This was with a HORRIBLE KC team, he was also sacked 26 times in 11 games sooo, come on. Oh yeah and also caught a Td pass.

Wish I could share your enthusiasm, but to be quite honest about it, you sound like a a kid who lost their teddy bear and someone handed them another stuffed animal.
1. For a bit of balance, keep in mind that the chiefs went 1-10 with Thigpen last year. Horrible surrounding cast or not.
2. I am however somewhat hopeful that Thigpen shows
- Potential for both a serviceble backup (pat white doesn't this year)
- Also someone who can may be able to run the spread offense package - this year
I remember when the Jets didnt win much with Pennington either, fact is he looked pretty solid last year, he is not elite, but i think could give Henne, and possibly be better than Henne.

Wasn't Doug Flutie 5'10"? I didn't realize 6'1" was short for QB nowadays!
