Jim, it's Jake LONG, not Grove, but it was definitely due to Grove. Communication on the line needs to improve, and that starts with the center.

Bunch of big babies, 6.7 300 plus. Man if i was that big, i would flatten the fouls trying to rush my qb. Im 6'0 220, would be sweet to be 7 inch's taller, man i would own these guys. Man if i was 6'7 with my body build, id be slighty heavier in the chest area, and booty area, and i would deffinatly have HUge tree trunks as legs. Thats one thing i dont understand about lineman, if i was a lineman, having gengantic muscled out legs, would make you a BEAST! Just the push you would have. I think that Jake needs to hit the weights, and realy bulk up more.

Jim Berk Monte, we cannot get any worse on the ol already. Anything this week against the colts will be an improvement.

Everybody starts out slow. Well most of the teams. At this time of year defenses are way ahead of offenses.

The colts offense doesn't scare me even though they have manning. They do not have as many weapons as in the past. Reggy Wayne is about the best receiver they have. And we showed last week we can sop the run successfully, so their running game does not scare me either.

As far as their defense, we need to contain both their DEnds and we will be ok.

Hopefully we will give jake long some help on this game against freeny.

For Smiley to come out and say this, it means that they've probably been burned by Grove's screwups before and are tired of taking the heat.

But it makes sense, how do you bull rush a big man like that? I can understand Long being beaten on the inside move, I've seen it before, it's probably his weakness. But a straight bull rush? I don't think we'll see a lot more of that.

yes "pass rusher" you should not get trucked by a pass rusher, top pass rusher are usually speed players and he got his ass ran over...

i always found the grove signing a bit weird. we ended up paying just a bit less than what jason brown got for a player who was not considered as good and who is always hurt. if we paid him way less than brown i could have seen it, but the pay was only a few million difference which is nothing in the nfl.

He came from the Raiders.
