8 days to prepare for Colts!

We come out strong next week and dominate the Colts:

31 - 17!

You heard it here first.

Colts no running game...Gonzalez out...need to contain Clark and Wayne!

We'll be 1-1 heading to San Diego!

We better fix the O-Line and cut back on mistakes, or no way we win this one! Don't forget they still have Peyton Manning.

that offense isn't laying 31 on anyteam

And Peyton vs our secondary could be real ugly.

No i dont think so, because they only have Wanye, and Mister Clark, Clark is going to have a solid game against us, but if our pass rush does better, we should be able to limit Wayne.

If we dont beat the colts it will be a start to a very long and ugly season

You have to give it to week 3, if we loose this, and next week, then you can start to worry. Realy you dont panic untill the 4th game.

I think we have a very good shot to beat the Colts.

Our front seven looks outstanding, and I am willing to bet that our offensive line play this week was a fluke. That was by far the worst game of Jake Long's pro career. I do not think he will have a repeat performance.

Also, injuries on the Colts mean that they're without two of their best players. This is a very good opportunity for Miami -- a chance to beat a team that is a supposed Super Bowl favorite, yet honestly doesn't look like it's playing good ball right now.

IF we start off 0-3, we aren't making the playoffs in the AFC. Too many good teams.

NE
Pitt
Balt
Tenn
Jax
Indy
SD

There are 7 right there, one out of that group ain't making the playoffs. So we would have to leapfrog them. That isn't even counting the Jets who if Sanchez is for real might be better than us.

0-3 and start looking towards the draft and get Henne ready to start from about week 7 on

Well, we either will, or wont. Thats it either we win, or lose, we damn sure aint tieing anything. We will either be laughingstock of league, or make playoffs. I said 13.3/ or 6/10. I still believe in the 13.3.

Defense looked pretty good.

No way I see 31 points coming from this offense.

If we win it will be from defensive turnover and fixing the turnover problem.

OL has longer term issues to see a rapid turnaround, ala- a 31 point performance.

Jacksonville did everything posible to lose that game.

Colts should be 0-1. While they have Manning, Wayne and Clark...I don't believe that their Defence is that strong.

We shall see...i stand by my prediction 31-17.

Realisticaly, i feel, damnit Clark, and Wayne are going to score, and they will hit one or two field goals, so we will prob hold them to 21 or less, and i dont see us scoring more than 17. So its going to be tuff. I think this one is going to come down to whoever has the ball last. With the final score 20/17. Could go either way.

We'll have to put a helluva lot of pressure on Manning...

Send Porter after him a lot. No use leaving porter to defend in pass coverage, because he sucks at that, and he also isn't a sure tackler when a big fast RB is going straight for him.

He's an excellent pass rusher and thats exactly what we should have him do. If he can hit Manning a couple of times, we could change the game. But he's got to hit him early.

If Porter is invisible, like he was in Atlanta, I say put Wake in the game instead!

Porter has been sucking all preseason and first game long. He looks old, and out of shape.

Porter has been bad since about Week 12 of last year

Porter has to be used in a specific scheme. He's not a true dominant Line Backer; however, he can take over a game if used properly.

We can't look for him to be Zach Thomas. I was actually hoping Channing Crowder would take on that role. I'm going to start a new string to talk about that.

Not a true LB? Why the heck did we sign him to such a big contract then?! If we're going to use him as a situational player, then he needs to take a paycut or be traded (if someone will take him). Wake and Moses played very well in preseason. I think they deserve more playing time.

We're not. He's an OLB. Zach was a MLB.

Technically he was supposed to, as the SILB role on a 3-4 is similar to the MLB role in a 4-3, but Crowder isn't nearly as talented as Thomas.

Back on topic ... We'll need to have 8 days.

New Challenges we'll see.

1. Manning is awesome at play fake, and moving in the pocket to buy time. Rookie corners will be tested big time.

2. They will use a lot of TE and RB dump offs. We'll need to pick them up coming out of the block (TE, and backfield RBs) and make solid tackles ... else we get dink passess for big gains after the catch.

3. They are minus their best CB, so maybe we can bust loss a passing game of our own.

We cant bust out long passing, because of our stupid play calling, unless its wildcat, or White offense. Clark is going to have a big day agaisnt us, and Wayne should top around 100.

Now now thunder, let's not fall on the sword just yet ...

1. Clayton's recap of the matchup follows. What I like is how much has changed since they last met. Most of it (forgetting for a moment last week's opener is in the FINS favor.

2. Clayton's closing line characterizes the dolphin's offense against the falcons as invisible. (Apropro)

> Clayton:

"Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins: These teams haven't met since 2006 and plenty has changed since then. The Dolphins have a completely new organization run by Bill Parcells and coach Tony Sparano. The Colts no longer have coach Tony Dungy or wide receiver Marvin Harrison. Now QB Peyton Manning has to make another adjustment to his passing offense. Anthony Gonzalez, Harrison's replacement, will be out until midseason with a PCL knee injury, leaving Reggie Wayne and TE Dallas Clark as his main receiving threats. Inexperienced receivers Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie have to step up and fill the receiving void.

The Dolphins are still reeling from their 19-7 season-opening loss to the Falcons in which their offense was invisible."
