Date: September 06, 2009 05:52PM Colt brennan got injured in the redskins last preseason game, since he was unable to go they placed him on IR and thus unable to play this season.
Does that mean if you get injured in the preseason and put on IR you are done for the year? Why cant they activate you if you get healthy like regular season? COnfused  Re: Question for you rule guru's

Actually, it allows a team to keep a player on the roster when they are injured without having to release them from the 53 man squad and letting another team pick him up.
