Crap! He was good for us last year. Now we're thin at TE again!

We just used a draft pick on a TE. A 5th I believe. this isn't surprising.

Don't be shocked if we pick up a DT/NT before next Sunday's game. We are THIN at that position

Whoa we aint thin at TE. Haynos isnt that bad, and at 6.8 the man can block and pretty much out jump every cb in the league. We didnt use him much, and he still has some developing to overcome, but i like em!!! Nailbone has cool name, but not sure on?

Yes we are. We only have one guy with experience. Haynos was an undrafted rookie last year and got very little playing time. Nalbone is a rookie THIS year. Neither are good receivers. Martin could block and catch the ball, and he had significant playing experience. Face it, we're THIN.

Fine we are not stacked, but that just means more balls to the WR'S like Turner!

Just thinking. Wonder if we'll see JT at TE at some point!

God thats a waist. Why we already have a 5th rounder. I mean we had a chance to sign him, but took Nailbitter instead? Why not trade for Vernon davis!! lol could have sent them Martin, and Nailbone. and a 6th or 7th round pick.

Are you forgetting about Fasano?

Nope, but after him it's a big dropoff. Even with Fasano, Martin was a big part of the offense last year. Not sure Haynos or Nalbone is ready to take on that role.

Martin had no trade value because of his injury, not to mention his relative lack of talent.

Looks like Fasano will get his chance to be an elite TE. He could get all of Martin's yardage from last year. 900 yards and 10 TD's.

I would love to see that.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say more around 600 yards 7 td's if he stays healthy.

That's not exactly going out on a limb. In fact, that is a pretty safe statement.

NFL.com is reporting that DM was placed on IR not released!

IR is as good as released. His contract is up at the end of the year. An injury settlement may be cheaper for the team, but I'm not sure its legal for a player with an active contract like his. I'd go with NFL.com.

unless there is no CBA. Then he is not a FA.

Did you read the article from Armondo about the potential stupid move the Pats made with Seymour. There is a chance he is not a FA next year and still the best 3-4 DE in the league and the draft pick is NO HELP for the declining idiots this year or next. YES!

I did see the article, and Mondo make some points.....even though I'v seen it posted here several times, to stop and think that the pick is in 2011...there are two full seasons between now and then.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us try Turner at TE next season.

Wonder if the FO wishes they kept wilford now?

Don't think he showed them what they needed, in the run game end of it.

They should probably made it look like willford was going to make the team and try to trade him at the same time. I doubt somebody would offered more than a 7th though. This guy is a pure bust.
