I'm calling for everybody, even the mods to help on this front...we have too many topics claiming to have "news" of "somebody" saying "something" about *football topic* but then has no link, no credit to a writer, news station, or anything.

False information on the internet runs rampant because it continues to go unchecked.

Can we change that here? It isn't hard to post a link...

For everybody else, if you see a BS topic claiming to have breaking news but no link...just don't post in it. Let it die. Let the attention seeking children kick and scream and cry that nobody believes their "inside source".

Agreed. What you THINK and SPECULATE is awesome...we want to hear it. We want to hear how you came to that conclusion and want to know why you think it.

Just don't pass it off as "news".

When i post somthing that is news related, its just that NEWS RELATED!! Oh well i guess he is right. I dont make up news related bs, i only type what i hear/read online or on the news.

We all realize you're new here, but there is a certain etiquette to this news group. If you're commenting on a news story for the first time, you post a link so everyone can read the story for themselves. It's the same as if you quoted from an article. You should add the link to the original article so credit is given to the writer and you don't unintentionally plagiarize.
