I would have to disagree wuith MThunder that our pass protection has been okay.

I think Penny gets rid of it quick and doesn't take many sacks, but if you look at the onwe game where teams fgame planned (Tampa), our protections was crap.

Add to that the reality that our average yardage per pass as a tream is one of the4 lowest in the league. (Against the saints 4.4 yds per pass)

3 games ago we hardly even threw to Wrs.


I'd like to see us get better in the veritcal game and though I'll wait to see our performance in the reg season, but I haven't seen much evidence in pre-season of a dominant, pass threat, and no breakout in the run game either.

let's hope they are saving the good stuff for the season.

Our protection WAS crap, and it isn't quite there yet. Our run AND pass blocking needs to improve or it will be a LONG season. Thomas isn't 100%, Smiley may not be either, Grove is new to the team, and (more concerning) Long has been getting beat for sacks. I'm hoping it's fixable and comes together soon!!
