I watched the game on TV, but I couldn't pinpoint who was playing O-Line on which plays. The Jacksonville announcers weren't any help. It appeared the interior running game improved in later in the 2nd quarter and after. I'm wondering if that coincided with the insertion of Donald Thomas.
I couldn't really tell who played better, but I was NOT impressed by the interior of our line early on. Grove was pushed back a few times, and the penetration by Jacksonville was disconcerting.
All i need to say is DThomas better play because murphy is a huge dropoff....I agree grove was a disapointment. But its only the first pre season game. The line will gel better when we play a couple more games.
Well i belive that our running game play's where pretty obvious to the defense, and alot of blitz's came in and stuffed us early. What i also saw was our o-line using solid pass protection, but just being out muscled by the defense. I am worried! Too much money out there to not have at least a 4.5 yards per attempt per game!

And the oppossite team has too much money out there on defense as well to allow the 4.5 yard per..............Make some sense will ya.........

What i meant was that these are all pro players and they are paid in the millions rage. Some more some less.
An offense goes out to score on a defense and vise versa. It doesn't matter what they get paid.
I totaly agree with that, but my point is that CLEARLY Sporano wanted our o-line to dominate in the run, which from the first pre season game realy looked bad in the run department!

Every coach wants their OL to dominate running the football.

Dont worry we will get it going next saturday. Its only one pre season game. No time to panic. Smilley and thomas are going back from injury and we have a new center.
