gonna come down to who can make a contribution on special teams. If these guys cant double up and play special teams (like Armstrong at WR is finding out) they aren't gonna make this squad.

It's NOT about taking the best 53 players. It's about taking the 53 players that make this the best team. Those are 2 VERY VERY different things

You still have to consider positions outside of ST. Certain alignments will require depth at specific positions. For example, because of nickel and dime packages, I'd expect us to carry more DBs than LBs.

I can't figure out why Armstrong isn't given a shot to be a returner instead of just on coverage units.

Hey its a good idea to try roth at the ILB spot. He was an experiment when they put him at the OLB spot. Remember he used to be a DE???

Maybe you put him inside and he plays just as good as he plays outside maybe better who knows.

Ginn on kicks and bess on punts..................The job is already filled.....But id be nice to have another receiver on the team with ginn type speed.

Ginn was taken off of kicks last year to concentrate on WR. Are they putting him back. I hope so.

Bess has never impressed me on punts. Does not have the speed or make miss ability. not much of a threat.

Cobbs is the best kickoff returner we have.

Roth had groin injuries all last year, and he was 15 pounds heavier. When he finaly gets that groin healthy and the added weight loss, he should be a solid 5 to 9 sacks a year pass rusher. As for Armstrong as return man, i'd rather use Hartline, almost as fast, bigger, solid hands, and has been contributing more as a wr.

He was terrible. Thats why they switched him to OLB. I remember saying this guy will be cut. Then they put him at the OLB spot and he starts producing all of a sudden.

With the new changes on kick-offs, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bess get another shot at it.

Elusiveness will be more important than it used to be. with the wedge being split up, there will be new lanes, and more importantly more cutback lanes.

I wouldn't say lame or terible but it wasn't until his 3rd year that he earned a starting job opposite Taylor. Then he got hurt and missed several games.

He hasn't really turned into the kind of DE everyone thought and has been somewhat of an underachiever for a guy that has such a great motor.

I think we were hoping he was going to be the next Trace Armstrong but he just doesn't get the sacks and pressure.

Miami is trying to extend his contract that is up after this year.

and BTW....Drew Rosenhaus is an idiot.
