I dont even know Vontae, and i already dont like him! A child who is greedy, and only plays for the money does things like this.Tell your agent to shut up, make a decent offer that both parties can live with, and if you make a imediate impact, then renegotiate, and carry awsome bonuses and incentives to playing great ball. No instead he will complain untill he is one of the highest played CB's in the league. A waist of time. He better not pull a holdout or he will regret it.

I thought they put in a rookie salary maximum this year? This is a big argument for doing that.

Free agent negotiations for proven veterans is one thing, but no rookie should be able to hold out. Screws up everything except the agent's paycheck.

I suspect he will miss a couple days at most.

Both slots around him have signed 5 year deals. He'll sign before Sunday and might happend today.

I knew it wouldn't take long. This front office is too good.

I still think failure to sign ruined jason Allen. Good thing to have gotten the deal done and let them think about football.

From his comments, he sounds like a really cool dude, who can't wait to get into camp. He wants to get to know and "bond" with his fellow teammates, and can't wait to play some football.
So far, he doesn't sound like the jerk you make him out to be.

way to rip him when he turned out to be one of the earlier picks to sign. sheesh--till training camp starts, a player is fully within his rights to take as long as he wants to sign without getting slammed by the fans.

Well its apparent that you guys love Vontae, im still skeptical, as in we took two solid cb's in the draft, and how rare is it that both become realy sucessful. I hope they do, but Davis has me a bit worried. I just got a vibe, i feel Smith will be the better of the two.
