ROSS was offered 10 billion for the team and stadium. He paid $1 Billion and did a $400 million upgrade. That's over an 8 billion profit.

He declined. He wants his daughter to get 51% of the team and 49% to his buisness partner.

LOL and I thought this post was going to be about the roster.

Nope.....think of how many negative ways he's impacted this team. Not just draft picks.....stadium gate. bully gate, The distractions, and I can say since he's been the owner , the fan experience has also gotten much worse.

Marlins got a new Stadium.

Ross got a diet Coke and a middle finger. I remember his first act as owner.....build a private nightclub within the stadium, give away 1% of ownership to attract celebrities......expensive leather seating in the stadium in the best seating.He removed all academy buses that we used to get on Sundays from fans North of The stadium. He's a douche and I wish he would let the team go to someone who remembers what it's like being a fan.

Ah yes...the Marlins stadium. threaten to move the team, get a billion dollars. A new place for the Marlins to have CRAP attendance. Next to last in MLB (sources: ESPN and Ballpark digest). You can go bowling down the aisles.

I do admire one thing Ross did (and possibly only one thing). I like how he put the canopy up instead of making it an indoor stadium. There, that's it--I said something nice about him. Can't think of a second thing I like that he did.

I'm actually still a pretty big Mets fan. We have a great training facility right here in my city. The biggest problem with the Marlins stadium is its location. It's a drop dead gorgeous stadium. Great views.....A/C!! But that part of town is just a complete shithole. It's just not a good destination. Homeless, junkies.....people trying to clean your windshield with newspaper wearing no pants.......the traffic, who would want to travel all the way there and deal with that town? The Dolphins stadium is way more north located in a industrial park off the turnpike. Giant fences surround the entire property. You don't see many natives like the Marlins Stadium.

I agree on the Canopy . It's a very good solution. He's good like that......look at the success of F1 racing through the parking lot! Ross knows how to grow a dime........but he couldn't give a squat about regular fans and thier experience.

The worst thing Ross has done to this team is when he hired Mike "the Franchise Killer" Tannenbaum to be in charge. Every thinking person knew that it would be a disaster. I wonder what made Ross think Tannenbaum could run a franchise? Perhaps when he traded up for Mr. Butt Fumble or when he signed him to a big money extension?
