Dolphins/ Redskins ..........

Refuse to call them anything else.
10 days off.......we should be ready for them. Going to miss Phillips....I know Ogbah will step it up , really looking forward to see if new signing Pierre still has what it takes.

One week our offense is on fire, next it's the defense. God help the team when BOTH show up. smileys with beer

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I'm going to call them the Braves (the team's original name, when they were founded in Boston). Come to think of it, they should have changed the team name back to the Braves, if they really felt the need to change it.

Whatever their name is, let's win this game!

Yeah, the Braves or the Washington Warriors and they would have been able to keep the logo. Why didn't anybody in the organization see that?

Dolphins are clicking but, some of the lame razzle dazzle plays are not working against the better defenses.

The game...Washington is clearly overmatched. Agree with Hooligan, we need to see more balance and less dazzle-dazzle plays. The better teams can stop those plays.

Go Dolphins.

That was a nice balanced drive and Achane scores on the ground!
38-7 now.

Go Dolphins!

Was stuck here with West Coast garbage games, Pats shutout 6-0 by the Bolts. NFL Redzone wasn't working, damn COX Cable.

Congrats to the Phins on a asskicking road win vs. the team with the generic college logo who caved in to the PC police.

I don't like losing players to injuries. Nice to have Achane back and no turnovers from Tua.

We are 9-3, let's enjoy it this week. Good job Dolphins!

Great play on both sides of the ball. This team is clicking at the right time.

4 out of our last 5 at home.

With Pitt and Cleveland losing the Bengals can get right back into the thick of things with a win in Jax tonight. If so we're sitting in the #1 seed heading into a home game vs Tennessee.

I know it's a low-quality opponent (though all teams are manned by paid professionals), but I was impressed by several things in this game:
- no head-scratcher throws by Tua...while being relatively aggressive
- Tua's movement in the pocket creating time/lanes
- the long 7:50 drive almost entirely runs to end the game (impressive, but I think the 'Skins were simply ready to end the game so it wasn't like we drove that way against Buffalo to preserve a 3-point lead)
- the defense stepping up with Phillips out
- McDaniel taking key starters out early to try to preserve health

We gotta keep winning the 'ones we should' over the next couple of weeks.

Oh I have a question about one of his throws, and I didn't see the game live. On one of the bombs to Tyreek for a TD, Hill had to change direction while the ball was in the air. It almost looked like Tua made an errant throw but Hill cut to his right to catch it over his shoulder. The DB was beat regardless but I thought that was a bit of good fortune. Or, was that change of direction intentional?

I don't have access to all-22 film or anything, but it's tough for me to say with the camera angles on the broadcast and highlights.

On both, Tyreek was wide open. On the first, even watching it live because the camera panned out, I could tell it was going to be a TD when he threw it...shouted "yes!" during live play when I saw it leave his hand. Tyreek even had to slow a bit to catch it (and not over the shoulder, so this is likely not the one you're referring to) and then turn back on the burners.

On the 2nd, that may have been one where Tyreek adjusted...but it was so wide open it would have been an easy TD whether he throw it more in the middle and Tyreek caught it over his left shoulder or over his right shoulder as he did. His separation just caused so much space. No idea what the design was, but Tua just had to hit somewhere past the defenders eating Hill's dust and it was a TD.

I'm watching Mahomes throw accurate deep passes to Valdez-Scantling that aren't converting and thinking how much KC must miss 'Reek.

Evidently it was intentional to steer Tyreek to the right and away from the safety coming from the left to cover.

Wow, pretty brilliant. And I grew up watching Bob Griese throw 'timing patterns' as a relatively simple down and out.

There was also some speculation that Tyreek was actually running the wrong route based on the coverage. Luckily he was able to locate the ball and fast enough to get to where he was supposed to be.

Yes, he did say he ran the wrong route and had to adjust. I watched his media availability. Worked out great though.
