If you are indicating Olinemen scrubs I'm with you 100% brother. The worst position on our roster and it hasn't been addressed. But we got another reciever from the Jets? I get it but comon. Address this problem already before they name a wheelchair company after TUA.

223. Jason Brownlee Jr. WR Southern Miss
If we have to count on THE LT gets hurt every other game. Or eichnburg again we are toast. They need to trade up all their picks this year and a few next year to draft 3 of the best OT or G....We are an oline away from going far in the playoffs.
If we even draft a corner or safety I'd be very upset.
The best defense in football don't win many games if we have to play a 2nd or 3rd string qb. Unless you are the 49ers. But even they didn't go far in the playoffs with purdy.
Got thinking with the addition of Long, Reed, and Tindall at LB maybe we don't need to reach here? Herbig is phillips like
RB were going fast and LaPorta dropped

With Bigsby ,Mingo Steen & Patterson our Offense would be top 5. Mingo Jamar Chase like. Decent D depth at Edge LB & S
Mallory & Whyle great TE options

On the first post of the latest you posted you have 2 ots drafted with the first 3picks...beautifull. ots ots Is easier to convert to guard than vise versa. I like it. I truly believe this 2023 draft is about improving the oine most of all. If the coaches are not thinking the same then they haven been watching the games in 2022. Worst position by far was oline last year. Tua was proof of that.

202. Ja'von Hicks S Cincinnati
208. Jahleel Billingsley TE Texas
The power of trade downs. Watch their tape. I don't think Laporta drops to 119 but he did here but would be happy with Kuntz and Josh Whyle later a sleeper with Kemari Averett and Jahleel Billingsley at TE
Adding Carter Williams, Wooden and Hicks to our D is a huge upgrade as is adding Steen and Patterson along with Miller, Laporta and Whyle. Matt Landers a sleeper 6'5 WR 4.37 40!
83. Andre Carter II EDGE Army
84. Tyler Steen OT Alabama
95. Kendre Miller RB TCU

Someone with good QB insight says Haener is this years Brock Purdy and we need an insurance policy and Thompson nor White are the decision maker and gunslinger Haener or Clayton Tune are
84. Andre Carter II EDGE Army
99. Tyler Steen OT Alabama
128. Israel Abanikanda RB Pittsburgh
155. Luke Schoonmaker TE Michigan
171. Jarrett Patterson OC Notre Dame
197. Jake Haener QB Fresno State
206. Nick Herbig EDGE Wisconsin
238. Karl Brooks DT Bowling Green
We are paying White alot of money to hold a clip board. We have Thompson behind him....I would say there is a 0000.00001 % chance we go QB in any round. Not with other glaring needs and a real chance to win.
I wouldn't be so sure as of now we are not sure we can count on Tua for a full season if smart we grab Haener or Tune as an insurance policy, have seen enough of Thompson to know he isn't the answer not a great leader or decision maker
This mock is with the assumption we land a RB Cook, Henry, Mixon, after release
Still want Andre Carter but he was taken. Not sold on reaching for any TE think there is comparable value later and we need the additional picks
if set at WR would take another OL at 185 but if Anderson can get it together add Demus or Michael Wilson and this WR corp is best in the league
Phins have been looking at Prince
95. Tyler Steen OT Alabama
102. Zacch Pickens DT South Carolina
121. Luke Schoonmaker TE Michigan
151. Jake Haener QB Fresno State
157. Trey Dean S Florida
165. Brenton Cox Jr. EDGE Florida
185. Dontay Demus Jr. WR Maryland
198. Josh Whyle TE Cincinnati
202. Deneric Prince RB Tulsa
205. Ja'von Hicks S Cincinnati
227. Anthony Bradford OG LSU
Well......Tom Brady did say in the news "all his friends " are on Miami now.
Other then that.....TUA is starting and we have 2 very capable back ups . And one wasn't very cheap. We might not agree on how they addressed the QB position but they did address it. Can't say that for the Oline.......
I know that many of you are draftniks, and I like about 15 minutes of the draft, but c'mon! mock drafts?!? just look at how many different ones are in just this thread! They are everywhere, made up by every idiot that wants to do one, and each is just as useless as the last. It should be CLEAR that they are a waste of time (sort of like the 'grades' that they assign after the draft-but before any of these kids step on a professional football field) and resources. The 'experts' are doing nothing more than YOU are: guessing! The teams' guessers are held accountable for their guesses with their jobs, the 'experts' ARE NOT. After the draft, nobody cares how accurate (or inaccurate) they were, and their guesses aren't even examined. What a pathetic joke. On you!
dolphan4545 agree but you never know and there is a ton of nepostism and few held accountable even guru's like Mayock and why the Phins havent won one in 50 years. Often think some fans can evaluate better
heres another that adds great value with some moves. hoping Chris is looking Lol
Cant reach for 1 guy need to have 5-10 alternatives for every position, this is a deep draft
Watch their tape
70. Tucker Kraft TE South Dakota State
98. Sean Tucker RB Syracuse
100.Matthew Bergeron OT Syracuse
167. Dontayvion Wicks WR Virginia
177. Brenton Cox Jr. EDGE Florida
197. Jake Haener QB Fresno State
205. Nick Herbig EDGE Wisconsin
221. Atonio Mafi OG UCLA
236. Josh Whyle TE Cincinnati
I am glad many of you have fun contemplating possible draft picks in the off-season. It's football related and it helps many stay focused for the fall. As for me, I find the NFL draft a real crap-shoot for the Dolphins, especially for the past two decades. Speculating on the moves isn't my cup of tea and I watch the show to be entertained. I watch the zealots react to the picks and often chuckle no matter who is picked. Sometimes, I am familiar with the selection having seen them perform at the college level, but most of the time, it's some unknown getting a chance to make it in the NFL. The optimism is wonderful and there's a lot of hard work and hard-knocks ahead for all selections. It will be most interesting to watch how our Dolphins pick their 40-man roster. O-line deficiencies still persist and I don't expect much improvement--a rookie lineman, if selected, may not provide much bench strength. We need seasoned players...easier said than done.
I agree Colonel.Absolutely we need some experience on the line not just a large meathead who keeps getting 30-40 yds a game in penalties. Rookies just are not used to the speed and make up for it by holding.
I am going to continue to point to coaching as the primary cause of our oline problems. When you continue to have problems with an entire unit you have to look at leadership. Problem has been going on to long to keep pointing at the players. Barry stinks, folks in Denver think we are idiots for hiring him. Players thought he was not qualified and you know I believe them.
Check out his resume, guy stinks, losing records all over the place and players know a loser when they see one. 2019 OL coach at UMIA, losing season. I think he's riding on that myth that if you coached in the MAC you are supposed to be a genius. 2 failures as a OL coach and we hire him so he can continue his string of failure. Sheesh.
Yes we need veterans to teach the younger guys because the coaches are incompetent.

Mizzou I had the same take on Gesicki Could he really not be taught some blocking skills? Think they thought an average TE wasnt worth the tag. Hoping we can land 2 of Kraft or Laporta and Josh Whyle, Kemari Averett or Jahleel Billingsley. Billingsley an athletic WR/TE mix. Worth a look late or UFA
Could Jackson and Eichenberg both be busts? Bad evaluation and coaching. Bring in Richmon.d Webb to tutor them
TCPF- I suppose you're right. I have certainly watched and read my share, I just got disgusted with the extreme repetition of the same film over and over again- and that was in March. So, the joke is on me, too.
P.S. Also, I don't care for college football, I don't watch college football, so at draft time I have absolutely no knowledge of any of the players so I can't make value judgements, and they wouldn't be worth a damn if I tried.

Jlyell13, Little, Langer and Dwight Stephenson could not have taught Gesicki to block (lmao). He just wasn't cut out for blocking. People say bring back retired players to tutor. That just doesn't work. Some retired players just want to get away from the game, its also an admission that the position coach does not know what he is doing.
100% agree that OL coach is the primary cause of our OL problems. We saw last year what happened when we inserted a couple of proven elite (Armstead) and legit (Williams) vets on the line. The overall OL play improved pretty significantly. When Armstead went down, it plummeted. I think it's cuz Armstead is so good he didn't really need or benefit from OL coaching. I.e. coaching made no difference - and it always should.
Hunt is the only minor exception I've seen in our 15+ year string of poor OL coaching in terms of player development and performance/results. And I consider him minor as he was a 2nd round pick and has improved but isn't anywhere near elite.
In that 15+ years, the only time we had an above-average OL was around 2015/16 when we had like 4 1st rounders, most being veterans. When they stayed healthy, we had a good OL. But, it was seemingly on the backs of the talented players alone.
