After the playoff loss last year, the Bills' fans bitched so much about the overtime rules dealing with the idea that the offense of a team should be able to have a chance to win or tie the game when the other team scores what should be the winning points. The rules committee obligingly changed the rules. This is RIDICULOUS. Every team has an offense, a defense, and special teams, mostly evenly important. The committee has made the offense far more important than the other 2/3 of the team, and certainly more important than the defense. In a playoff game, if your defense cannot stop the opposing offense from scoring, your offense should not be given another chance- if your defense cannot get it done, you DO NOT have a championship-caliber defense and you should LOSE! I simply cannot understand why the rules were manipulated to give the offenses more importance in the playoffs.
