So what draft picks do we now have for this year? I've lost track.

We have 4 picks:
round 3 - #102
round 4 - #125
round 7 - #224
round 7 - #247

I would like to get WR, Matt Araiza (P), C and DT with our picks

I believe we are targeting a really good punter in the later rounds. This year is about key free agency , building for the future with (additional picks next season) . Just some depth at positions , shoring up the Special teams .

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Yes, looking at a punter (from SDSU). He's supposedly very good, but I am sure other teams will also be looking at him. Where the Fins are picking this year, it will be very difficult to get anyone that would be high on their list, but....one never knows (i.e., Marino).

What about a middle LB? And maybe ANY good OL.

Before the Hill trade I was hoping for this lineman:

DANIEL FAALELE OT MINNESOTA:

NFL DRAFT PROFILE & SCOUTING REPORT
40 TIME: 5.60 SECONDS
HEIGHT: 6-9 WEIGHT: 387
HANDS: 11 ARMS: 35 3/8 SPAN: 86 2/8
DATE OF BIRTH: 11/09/1999 AGE: 22.4

6-9 387!! He might last to the 2nd round. If there was a way to move up and grab him along with that Punter later on.....I'd be fine with this draft.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I think we sent #158 to NE w/ Parker. I would trade down in the 3rd or 4th and pick up a 6th. I see:

3 Beavers LB CIN Taking Smith LB PA ST if he falls here
4 Uwazurike DL1 IA ST
6 Ingram RB USC
7 Cole S LOU
7 Perry QB BROWN

Put Beavers inside w/ Baker. Uwazurike gives us a strong backup at nose (saw him put Linderbaum on skates a couple of times in the IA/IA ST game). Ingram runs w/ great vision check his film I think he fits our new O perfectly. Cole's a big safety that could cover TE's and support the run and there is just something about Perry that I like.

Passing on a center this draft because Im not sure any of them are strong enough to help in their rookie year. If we do then I would go for Fortner or the kid from WA in the 4th. They appear the strongest (maybe West AZ ST). The centers are coming in the 2023 draft.

Ingram would be a nice addition, Kennedy Brooks not bad either in later rounds, could be an Elijah Mitchell like back

Do you really think that ANY of the teams in the league would select a punter not named Ray Guy or Yale Lary before the third round? I think it highly unlikely, so I think that if we wanted this guy, we could get him with a minimum of fuss.

In the third.....probably. His stat page said he punts 80 yards routinely and can usually plant them in the corner. Think of what a huge advantage a punter like that is worth! 3 and out on the 15 yd line.....and he punts it to the opposing end zone!?from the 50....he can make it 1st and 10 from the 5. Those are hidden points......

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

A punter like Araiza and Guy come around once in a few decades and be a huge weapon

The Raiders drafted a kicker in the first round a while ago because "he would get you three points every time he touched the ball". Everyone thought that was foolish, but the reasoning was sound and Al Davis was correct.

Drafting Araiza who can flip the field and pin them deep is a true weapon and would be a good choice to draft. The only issue is would our coach want his first draft pick ever to be a punter.

This draft Unless things change in the next 48 hrs:

3 38 102 From 49ers (special compensatory pick)
4 20 125 From Steelers
7 3 224 From Texans via Patriots, Ravens
7 26 247

Best player available at this point. Unless they use next years bounty to move up but I just don't see any players we have to get to do that. I would like an additional O lineman though somewhere. Center would be nice. This isn't a pretty draft .......purely functional.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Astro 34 Araiza would be a gutsy pick but could be a major weapon regularly forcing teams into long drives

Yes, and I am a bit disappointed. Taking another WR at this point seems to be overkill at the position, and after the less-than-impressive year that Michael Palardy had as our punter last year, I would have thought that picking a world-class punter would have been a pretty good and somewhat obvious idea. Instead, a division rival gets him, so we will see him twice a year.

Jets and Bills upgrades their backfield, Jets look to have had a great draft

Don't understand another LB

Skylar Thompson an interesting pick

Picks .....especially Jets picks.....are just that. The Jets are like a person who can't cook , going to the store and purchasing all this great stuff. They they throw it all in a blender and serve it.
