Jets Predicted to Swipe $44 Million Playmaker From Bitter Rival in Free Agency

Rumor has it......Giesickis services are being pursued by the Jets. Is this Wes Welker 2.0? $44 million is alot of scratch. As much as I dig him , and I was planning on getting my first new Team Jersey since we got the new logo if he resigned. I get if we pass on the $44 million. But damn I think he's worth it.

If we let him go can we at least get something for him this time around? Remember we let Laundry do for nothing. TAG HIM. Why are teams so reluctant to use the franchise tag?

Damn. To the Jets of all places. SOBs.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Sign Braxton Berrios from them, thats Welker 2.0, and Draft Cole Turner or Isaiah Likely. If choosing the jets over Phins and McDaniel, it's all about $

As I recall, we did tag & trade Landry for a 4th & 7th (so, to your point, next to nothing for sure).

I'd franchise tag him and be open to negotiating a trade for the right comp unless I just absolutely needed something from the TE position that he simply can't bring. I'd prefer he remain with us for at least 2022, but I can see letting him go and doing the best to get what you can for him.

Franchise tag for MG assumes Ogbah is worked out, as he's definitely someone I'd want to see back as a part of our D.

No doubt tamper.....Ogbah is a huge priority. But damn I liked Gesicki. We always bitch and moan about high draft picks and making better choices. It sucks to see a player we hit on do well elsewhere.
$44 million is a huge number for a tight end. I think he's worth it....I'm just not sure the POSITION is. Damn it.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Yep - my heart is that they keep him and figure out how to maximize his contribution and minimize any weaknesses because I think he's a special talent as a receiving TE.

But, sometimes what I hope and what coaches see are 2 different things :-)
