I think he wanted to get out from under Belidicks thumb and prove he could win without him. Those asterisks around his name have been removed. 6 superbowl wins and he still had something to prove. And he did.

And, so far, Billy B. can't win the SB without him. grinning smiley

I read that if he retires after Feb 4 he gets $15 million bonus. Look for the announcement then.

Can you imagine having so much money that $15 million is just an added bonus !? I'm finally entering the drop this year. 5 more to go. I'm hoping to retire on roughly 10% of that after a lifetime. confused smiley

Well, well. Tom Brady retires. The NFL and football fans will miss seeing him play. Amazing career. He goes out following a terrific last season. If you have to call it quits, that's the best way to do it--on a high note.
