Is Chris Grier a plant? Not like a turnip(although his Football IQ might suggest otherwise), but more of a double agent.
It makes sense, and it's a genius long play by Robert Kraft and Billicek.
They pulled the old "Trojan Horse" trick on us.
What a better way to sabotage a rival, than from the inside. Plant someone into the opposing organization who can influence drafts, FA deals, and coaching hires....Hmmmm.
Far fetched??
Maybe, but it's the only way I can reconcile the seemingly buffoonish decision making and over-all dog $#!T performance by our current GM.

I don't know, TC. With the way things are going with the Miami QBs, Watson is someone who has crossed everyone's minds, but....I can't see paying this guy an outrageous salary, and the draft picks it will take to get him (3 first rounders?). I am also concerned about his legal issues. Fins pay this guy a fortune and he heads off to jail, and if not jail, he'll be in NFL jail.
I am not comfortable grabbing Watson.
Let's just hang in there and hope Tua starts playing like a first rounder.
Just as an after note, I didn't say it on this board, but I was hoping Miami would grab Herbert. In fact, a few drafts ago, I was saying I would like to snag J. Allen. Hell, lets go all the way....I wasn't for drafting Tua, but only because of his injury history.
I'm not holding my breath, but I'll always be rooting for Miami. I just don't see Miami ever being successful with TUA. I knew they were gonna draft him . So I was cautiously optimistic. But hes just not physically capable of handling a 17 game season and a summer full of practice. Let's stop fooling ourselves. They won't even let him do a quarterback sneak. Are you kidding me!?
Hes not the answer. Sorry.
As far as the draft picks.....I'd almost rather give them to the Texans then let Grier waste them. Look at that 3 1st round pick we had. All busts. Horrible.
And I believe Miami will have a real educated guess on his legal troubles. Mostly women with no proof jumping on the bandwagon. And You have to believe Rodger Dodger and Mr.Ross discussed the issue yesterday.
It wouldn't solve everything, but Watson would give us a huge shot of adrenaline for a while to come. Maybe a decade.
