Ted Ginn Jr retires........14 yrs
Date: July 16, 2021 02:04PM

Man can't believe it's been 14 yrs since we started with QB Cleo Lemon and picked a punt returner with a nice family at #9 overall.
We passed on Darell Revis, Marshall Lynch, Joe staly.....but at least we didn't move up for Jermarcus Russell!

Wow........14 yrs. Seems like yesterday.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Im a fan. Just the fact that he had 2 return for the jets in a game is reason enough for me to be a ginn supporter.

Ginn wasn't a bad player. It was just a position we did not need at that time and to grab him at #9 overall was insane. So much more we could have accomplished. Even if we took Brady Quinn , we wouldn't have done much , but IT MADE SENSE. Its way we spiraled for decades. moves like that.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Oh im glad we took ginn over brady quinn . Ginn made a bigger impact than quinn...
But at that time every dolphin fan wanted quinn.

He went to the Superbowl with two different teams and to the play-offs with a couple more. Other teams saw his talent.

LOL. Its funny hearing you say that. At that time we had no QB. literally a rooster full of backups . No doubt Quinn was a dud but at pick #9 we should have traded out or picked Quinn. That was the move. The Jets picked Darrell Revis a few spots after us and went to two AFC Championships with a very mediocre QB in Sanchez.

The worst part? We traded him to SF for a fifth-round pick -- the 145th overall selection. This is why we sucked hard for 2 decades. Moves like this and then moving up to #3 overall for a drug addicted DE. All before we had a legitimate QB.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

QBs stunk that draft and we found out in the second round by drafting Beck. We should have gone defense at #9 Willis, Reyes, Timmons and several safties were there. Marshawn Lynch and Greg Olsen were both there. Front offense was totally incompetent in those days.

Good for him having the career he did away from the Phins, wasn't his fault that we were stupid.
