Interesting.......You think the Dolphins would go after Smith over chase? because of TUA's connection with him?

I like Harris at 18 but some think he will be around at 36.

1) Flores will not take a player that purposely sat out a season.
secondly, if you look at Chase, there are several question marks.
2) He literally disappeared in the semifinal game in 2019 (2 catches for 61 yards, no TDs)

#6 Smith is the real deal. He shows up and produces every game.
People don’t realize that he was hidden behind more popular receivers such as Jeudy, Ruggs and Waddle for 2 seasons prior to this past season,
Yet he produced big play after big play quietly every game.
Smith is gonna be a star in the NFL (big frame or not)
And Flores knows it. Flores is not concerned about his size.

3) it does help that Tua has a connection with Smith, but that is just gravy.

I also noticed you have PITTS going at #4 to Atlanta. Yeah That's probably what's going to happen. But if he's still there at 6 say....4 QB's are selected and Sewell going to Cinn.

The only player that Miami would consider over Smith is Pitts.

Pitts is going to be “exceptional”
However, given that we have Geseki already, I would choose smith.

That is just my preference.

Truth is: the only two choices for the Phins should be Pitts or Smith at 6.

Hopefully ATL takes Pitts so it makes our decision easy.

My only thinking is PITTS can also be used a a big reciever as well as a Red Zone horror show paired UP with Gisiecki. But Smith looked exceptional in that last college bowl. His break away speed was unmatched.

We can't go wrong with any of the 3 IMO. SMITH, CHASE or PITTS. Its a nice position to be in.

But I'm hoping Pitts falls through the cracks. However if Miami was hot for him they wouldn't have drafted down.

Mac Jones to the patriots? That should give all Dolphin fans a headache. Tua would likely be the 4th best QB in the AFC East.

I cannot remember a draft that has been deeper at T, WR, and RB than this one. I think there will be receivers drafted in the 7th round that will be contributors on teams 3-4 years in the future. With that Im not for drafting those positions in rounds 1 and 2 this year.
Im so hooked on Pitts that I would trade our #32 to ATL for the #4. ATL should buy because the #6 still allows them to trade down for more picks. I would then trade down at #18 say w/ JAX who would probably want a LT to protect their investment in Lawrence. I would flip second round picks and ask for JAX 4th rounder.
Now we would have the first pick in the second round and it’s for sale. LV, CLE, MN, WA & DAL all have 2 third round picks. My price would be a #2, 3rd a 6th and maybe a 2022 4/5th.
Draft would go something like this:
1 Pitts TE UF
1 Collins Edg/LB TULS
2 Cox LB LSU
3 Radunz T ND ST
3 Gainwell RB MEM
4 Williams CB SYR
5 Mills QB STAN
6 Kemp DL MI
7 Bussey WR HA
7 Grimes WR UF
We get Pitts and the 2 best coverage LBs in the draft. Collins is a chess piece and an ex HS QB who knows the game. An intelligent alpha. We are going to have to face paying or losing Baker & McKinney so its good to have 2 LBs like these 2 guys in 2021. Radunz goes to RT. Gainwell too is an ex HS QB who knows the game and a complete RB. He probably needs a year to bulk up and improve his blocking assignments but that is understandable. He is ready as a receiver though. I like Williams from SYR tall, physical CB, he could be some insurance if we cannot afford Howard in 2022. People are starting to watch film on Mills. Once he was listed as a F/A now I have seen him listed as high as the second round. If he is available in the 5th Im taking him if not I would take a center (Crider IN??, Morrissey Pitt). Kemp I like. Between Bussey and Grimes one of them will push a WR off our roster if not two IMO. Watched Bussey play at N TX then he transferred to HA and had a good 2020 season. I like players that perform at a high level at multiple programs.

I like It Mizz. You also see the need for some defensive side of the ball in round 1!

You know what? If I knew for a fact Atl was going to take PITTs I'd offer them 36 as well. But no way they would give up on him for a high 2 if thats what they want. We only get him for #18 or if Atl wants a QB. And in that case I say No Bueno.

Tell you what I go back and fourth on Chase and Smith if thats our option. I think they are very different and both are exceptional.

But PITTS would make my draft. Or Sewell. Then the Best Linebacker available and hope for Harris to be there at #36.

I’ll heavily lean to smith still, but won’t be disappointed if we end up with Pitts

I'm so Wishy Washy on the call between Chase and Smith. I truly believe they are both really talented, but very different. I also believe both with be successful.....Smith just needs to take his first hit and prove he can take it and not fold up like garden chair.

I'd def take both over Waddle. But PITTS is the clear choice.

Lots of rumors....this is smoke screen time. Flores even attended Justin fields pro day sparking more rumors.

Agree TCPF picks 3-5 will determine a lot of things possibly draft night. If 2 of Jones Fields and Lance avail at 6 teams will be calling. Hoping niners take Jones at 3. Could the Phins take Fields and move Tua to Chi, WFT, Saints Raiders ,Texans?

I really don't think TUA did that bad to make them make such a drastic move. If a QB was what they wanted they would have stayed at 3. However if one falls and a teams willing to pay up it could get interesting........I just hope Atlanta moves their pick to a team who wants a QB and Pitts falls to us.

Not to mention Chase is good, but not as good as smith.

I’m really hoping it’s Smith. I won’t be terribly disappointed with Pitts

Tua needs a receiver he can depend on to move the chains. That receiver is clearly #6 Devonte Smith!

Grier, Flores moved down from 3 to 6 for a reason.

1) they don’t want a QB. If he did, he would of stayed at 3
2) he (Flores)doesn’t want player who purposely sat out a season. This has writing all over of a prima Donna player that will hold out in the future to get more money. We don’t need that.
3) I truly believe that he moved down to ensure he could still get Smith.
Originally, smith was gonna go in the top 6.
Given that he has slid a bit down the board due to his size, there is reason to believe that they could trade down to 7,8, or 9 and still get smith.

I predict we will stay at 6 and draft smith #6

I hope so but there are some good theories that suggest otherwise. They even have some draft fodder stating Miami wants to move up from 18. I think Grier is examining all options and we have many.
