I turned on the TV just in time to see Tannehill throw a 50 yard in the air pass for a TD.
Titans are beating the Ravens 14-0 as I type this early in the second quarter. Even if that lead doesn't hold up, Titans are impressing so far. They stopped the Ravens on downs, then the first play was going for the bomb and it worked.

haha in Brady terms it is also throwing a pass for a touchdown.
But Tannehill didn't throw any picks yesterday, so no it wasn't him.
He didn't throw much at all, 7/14 88 yards, but two of those completions were TDs.
I didn't watch the san fran game but I don't think there was a pick six in that one either.
An interesting stat that was shown towards the end of the game was that this years Titans were one of a handful of teams in NFL history that won consecutive playoff games with low passing yardage (less than 100 yds I think) or low passing attempts or something like that. You know who else was in that stat, was the 72/73 Dolphins. Just a testament to how important a good running game is.
Lol. I just read his post because you quoted it. Hoping for a pick 6 by Ryan to justify his yrs or incompetent and wrong judgement of Ryan Tannehill. Sad. Still wishing him to fail to prove a point.
To be honest I knew he would have success, I just didn't think it would be so quick. He didnt waste a second proving hes one of the TOP NFL QBs playing.
Great points on the 72-73 Teams also JC. Proof you need to beef up those trenches. Get a running game going. Good defense.
Only reason Elway has 2 rings is becuase at the end of his career the Broncos finally established the run with Terrell Davis. Shula never gave .Marino that other half of the offense.
Great point.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

He was traded. He never left. And you were wrong about him as was your little sidekick who you defended at every turn. Tannehill is only 1 game away from returning to Miami.
Ken, the point is that I, I, me, me me, said that he never continued as our quarterback due to his lack of good performance. Whether he was traded, cut, or walked away from his contract does not matter in the context of our dispute.
He left us. TC comes back and quibbles..he didn't walk away from us, he was traded.
What's his point??
I'm not saying how he left, I'm just saying it was NOT because he was performing so well that he became a hot item on the open market.
All tannehill needed was an all pro team around him to succeed. 7 for 14 for less than 100 yards. Tannehill is not good enough to make players around him better. He needed an all madden team in order to win.

That is a fair point.
But I think it’s also fair to acknowledge WHY he didn’t perform well while he was a Dolphin. To me it was not because of any talent deficiency; It was because of the lack of effective coaching and O Line.
Well, I agreed with your post up until and including when it ended with the words, "To me it was not because of any talent deficiency, it was because of the lack of effective coaching..."
The lack of effective coaching was in NOT RECOGNIZING THAT HE WAS NOT...by nature......... A TRADITIONAL PRO SET QUARTERBACK.
Tennessee recognized that he was an option QB who gets nervous inside the pocket trying to read the coverage and at the same time worry about being sacked.
When he was here at Miami, he just 'FROZE' until he was sacked.
Deer in the headlights. That's what me and Sam meant.

Yeah 7 for 14 88 yards. Didn’t set a record did he.
Since you omitted the rest of his stats let me mention them :
2 TD passes. One of which inspired the title of this thread. A bomb that went 50 yards in the air and hit the open receiver in the EZ.
A rushing TD.
No interceptions. No fumbles.
now here’s one you’d surely be interested in:
His QB rating for the game was 109.5
You went out of your way to mention his QB rating for his win over the Pats so Surely you knew what it was for his win over the top seeded Ravens. It was 109.5. Jackson’s was 63.2
You are correct that he needed top rated talent to win. Bob Griese needed top rated talent to win also— and he had it. Now he’s in the
Hall of Fame. I’m not saying Tannehill could have been a HOF QB. But am saying that even hall of famers need talented teammates and coaches.

Yeah well DUH. Why do you think Marino went to the Super bowl in his first season? He had Superbowl calibur TEAM?
Why did the chicken cross the road? ARE you finally getting it yet? You are.....but ass backwards as usual.
You think a new QB is always the answer. A new QB will transform the team. ASSBACKWARDS as usual.
You stated Tannehill was going to be a career backup QB. Riding the PINE boy!!
Here he is in the AFC championship game not a year later. Marcus Miriota won the Hiesman. He was #2 overall in the draft. He couldn't take this SAME team to the AFC championship.
Are you getting it yet? Tannehill had the best long ball in the NFL. Threw a 50 yd bomb yesterday....he stretches the field so Henry can run. It's called TEAMWORK .
Tanny is everything I said he was. He just needed to be put in a position to be successful. Like Every QB.Not the otherway around....ASSbackwards.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

BINGO. And up to last year you could take my opinion and his and basically it was a mute point.
But now you and I are proven 100% correct.
His rise has been instantaneous. Boom......skyward with a good team, effective coaching and a great line.

The Titans have an offensive line and one super running power back by the name of Henry. Every player on the Titans is doing there job well. BTW, KC won't be able to stop Henry and I expect the Titans will go to the SB. RT is doing a good job and you have to give the guy credit for his current success with the Titans.
Yeah, he succeeds when he has a great team with all the other components being A+. Who wouldn't? But Rosen before injury and Fitz took that same Oline and did much better. How do you explain that????
How do you explain it???? As I have been saying, it's NOT the Oline or lack of all pro running back. It's the offensive scheme.
If you want to defend Tanny's lack of performance in Miami that's the only defense.

All true 100%. But even Henry will tell you part of his success this season is Tanny making defenses play the run slightly softer because they know he can make a pass as well. If they commit to Henry he will burn them.
