I want a great team w/ a good qb rather than a great qb w/ a good team. We had that w/ Marino.
McMahon ( was he even good), Bradshaw, he almost threw 1 int for each td and Aikman were not great qbs. They played on great teams. Griese probably belongs in that group to. Great oline probably the greatest fb in the history of the game and one of the great WRs. Once Warfield, Kick and Zonk left Griese could not get us to the dance again.

The problem with this astro is we have no qb at all.....unless you count on the retreads from last year.
Thats why we want to draft a qb asap. You never know who is going to develop...either in 2019 or 2020.

Not sure if you were kidding around or not on this post Chryen, but Tanny IS NOT Miami's worst QB.
Were you a fan of the Fins their first few seasons (pre-Griese)? I can remember a few of the names at QB: Wood, Norton, Wilson, and Stofa. Stofa was a pretty good QB, but was traded once Griese took over.
So, Tanny is not the worst Miami QB. In fact, I would take Tanny over Woodley.
I came with Greise from Purdue in April of 1967, Cap. I really thought 66-67 Was the franchise's second year in the AFL. Maybe I was wrong.
And I would definitely take a Shula coached Woodley over a Gase coached Tannehill. Do you know what it means to come from small town America Cap. Tanny is from Lubbock Texas and I am from Lawton Oklahoma. Google map how close they are. I just hope he is placed in a read option scheme and succeeds at his new location. He is NOT a pocket QB and only Treasure and our prior coaching staff are dumb enough to think he is.
Please show me where I ever said he was a pocket passer?. Just once. You dont he know what your saying? Small towns, 1967?????? WTF does any of that have to do with 2017-18 Ryan Tannehill?
You really are kind of just rambling. Making no sense. You need to get that checked bro.
That said if you try to label stuff like Tanny you have already failed.
Hes not a pure anything. That's becuase he didnt even play QB in college. Sometimes he stays in the pocket, sometimes he bootlegs.
Hers the deal . And why Gase will fail if he doesnt get a Steller Defensive Coordinator. Gase is a great offensive mind. But he knows squat about defenses.
A great coach would use Tanny to the weakness of a defense. Sometimes option, sometimes in the pocket. Sometimes in the shotgun, run.
You ALSO NEED A GOOD OLINE TO DO THIS. we addressed it in the draft but except for Tunsil never got him any help.
See it, admit it or not, Tanny had what it took to take a great team to a championship.
I bet you wont.the front office let him down consistantly. And he never bitched. I wish him only well.

The Titins are not a bad ball club. They wanted that Engine. The Patriots were interested too.

Yes I think Tanne could start over Mariotta. This was last years stats. Mariotta played 3 more games too. The Titans were also a better all around team then the Phins last year.
stats inflated because we outscored by 4th quarter and tannehill completes passes that dont matter when the opposing defenses play prevent defense.....
I dont know grimey i just dont like tannehill as a qb. Never did.
He was one of the most erratic qbs ive seen.
One game he looked like a superstar then the next he looked really bad.
Maybe thats why tcpf was enamored with tannehill....He hoped tannehill kept playing great like he did sometimes....
Again good one day then the next game just good enough for one good drive a game....Everything else was 3 and outs.
But you know what?
I didnt take losing as hard any more since we kept losing over and over.
I just dont believe he was ever given a fair shake. Never had the Oline or coaching. Recievers were rotated in and out like massage parlor girls for Robert Kraft.
But hes gone. Why do you and Chyre6keep bringing him up?
Because you attack us every time we talk about getting a QB at 13 and suggest we look for one in the 3rd round or wait for 2020 thus sucking so bad in 19 that previous years don't look so bad by comparison. That's so easy to see. You're a Tannehill fan more than a Dolfan

Attack you!? I discuss it. I bring facts. All you have is this Tannehill bullshit. Which QB do you want in the 1st round and why? Do you even have a plan or is it who ever My Lads tells you ?

No.......Thats because I spend my time investigating ACTUAL DRAFT CHOICES who will impact my team. Try it sometime. I ask you AGAIN.....Which QB do you prefer and why?
At least I explain myself and give fourth actual facts as to how I came to that conclusion. And no Plagiarism!!
"I agree with what you said. But this is the ultimate team sport. Plenty of decent (not HOF) QBs have won the Superbowl."
Agreed and that's what gives hope. Architecting a SB-contending team is so much more than a top-6 picked QB. I do think you need consistent, high-level QB play as a massive part of the overall mix, and, encouragingly, it's been proven that such QBs can be found outside of the top of the 1st round. Additionally, all the elements you mentioned and more are also critical. The new crew definitely has their work cut out for them, but it can be done.
We have no OL. No Dline. No depth at any positions. Simple math. More picks , more bodies, fill more holes. You want to waste a first round on a draft with QBs that are not Worth it.
You would see that if you knew more then just what you read in Our Lads.
Please show me where I ever said he was a pocket
> passer? Just once. You dont he know what your

RESPONSE: Oh, so when I was complaining long before he was traded away that the Dolphins WERE MISUSING TANNEHILL AND IGNORING HIS NATURAL TALENTS which was to run a read option scheme, you were right there Treasure saying "Right On!" to what I was saying.
Right????????????????
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RESPONSE: People have to break it down for elementary school kids. Follow me carefully now, little Treasure. You basically accused me of having a PERSONAL PREJUDICE AGAINST TANNEHILL for years.
My reference to my hometown was to show that if anything, I would have a bias IN FAVOR of Ryan Tannehill. Which I did until I saw that our BRILLIANT MANAGEMENT first Philbin through Gase refused to put him in an option scheme.

RESPONSE: Let me get this straight You are saying he DIDN'T PLAY THE POSITION OF QUARTERBACK AT TEXAS A & M?????
Let me let that one sink in with the board.

Adam Gase is no longer our coach. He is coaching the Jets. Our coach is Brian Flores.

RESPONSE: LOL. I'll admit that like David Woodley, he had what it takes to RIDE a great team to the championship and probably, unlike Woodley, he would have won that championship.
But we noway in Hell have the caliber of team David Woodley had.
