Anyone know the story behind why he was cut?

Were there off-the-field issues?

I don't know...I do know he is not the prototypical size (6'3 250) that Parcels likes....He is only 6'1 235. Our smallest LB'er is Akin Ayodele at 6'2 240.

SI has him listed at 240, but I bet there are 10 different listings on the web.

Yes he was the leading tackler for the rams....I thought he was resigned alreadt. I made a thread about him the other day then erased the thread thinking he was already resigned...I posted the pat white pro day video instead.

I saw his bio somewhere and it said he was resigned through 2011.

He is listed as 6'1 240 LB.............Maybe we should take a look at him....................

I think he had 7 sacks last year and recorded 101 tackles. Im positive he tackles better than joey porter..While he isnt porter sized, he isn't small either.....at 6'1 240 LB.

Yes it is. He would be an upgrade over what we have, a lot of missed tackles by our LBs last year expecially by Porter. The rams drafted
James Laurinaitis so i guess he was expedable. I don't know how you let go of you best tacl;er like that and he is still young at 27. We'll see.

Zach thomas is listed at 5'11 228 pounds. I saw zach in practice a few times and he isnt small either, he might not be tall but he aint small thick wise....He is like a pitbull thick arms thick body.

Just imagine an improved Akin Ayodele. Akin is 6'2 240.

And if what they say about him is true, he is a tackling machine. Could be our next zach....

Sparano if you are reading this............Do something about the LB position man.

We are OK at DE, DT ( as long as ferguson stays healthy ) safety we are more than OK................and we might have found a couple of diamond in the rough Corners in the draft...Plus Will allen....

Sparano you should do something about the LB position!!!!!

GO PHINS.

The odds are that he isnt regular here of course. But this board isn't closed to the public and anybody can read it. Im positive hes used the internet before.

Just because he makes 987 times more that we do doesn't mean he isn't made of flesh and bones. We are all the same. I don't consider myself better than anybody. And i sure as heck know nobody is better than me.

He doesnt even has to read it. He already knows the LB position is one of the weakest position on this team. I know he is going to do something about it either in free agency this year or in next years draft. Or i hope.

Zach Thomas Height: 5-11 Weight: 242. I'd say that is a little closer to accurate. He was listed at 235 when he was in Miami....one of the reasons he was let go was his age but they also mentioned that they want bigger LB'ers for this scheme.

They said Folsom would get a look at nickle LB'er so they must be looking to replace CC there. I can't imagine that this 7th round rook is going to beat out CC. I just wonder what their thinking is for Crowder. He is a good not great LB'er but they resigned him so they must see something. My question is...what is it going to take for him to start making big plays. Maybe the more comfortable he gets, the less he will have to think and just react....and that's when things happen.

We don't really have any great LB'ers. We have one great pass rusher but that's it.

Will Crowder step up and start making big plays?
Can we find someone who can play better than Ayodele?
Will we even keep Torbor?
Is Wake starting material? on which side?
Will Roth be better after having a full year under his belt and an off season to train (drop weight) & prepare for the position?
Can Tearrius George beat him out?
Will we sign JT?
How will he coexist with JP?
Is William Kershaw worth anything? (6 teams in 3 years) Scout: 4.6 40 21 reps. Playing stronger than his listed size, Kershaw is a solid athlete with upside for the next level. Needs to polish his game yet offers potential on the weak side. Strengths:pass coverage, tackling...Weakness: instincts
Can JD Folsom make the team?
Can Quentin Moses, Erik Walden and/or Charlie Anderson step up?

Lots of ???? at LB'er.

I agree eesti. LOTS of questions at LB. It's definitely our weakest position.

Exactly......Joey porter isnt getting any younger and the rest of the LBs are a bunch of question marks.

He is 5'11 around the 230 maybe a little bit more. They had him listed at 5'11 228 pounds on some website. I think he is a little bit heavier than that.
