No one associated with the team today did anything positive...not one player, coach, front office, owner, alumni, assistant, announcer, ball boy or trainer. Everybody did a piss poor job and should be ashamed of themselves.

Nothing more to be said...today, top to bottom, we stunk.

The Pats were not really good today either...we just rolled over and gave it up at every turn. We made them look much better than they really were.

Sigh!

Did you notice the illegal pick on Patterson's TD? Wasn't called, when asked about it, ref gave a ridiculous answer.

I don't think that's it. We don't use the running game very much, and when we do Gase calls slow developing low percentage plays. I don't know if he expects all the backs to make chicken salad out of chicken shit, or if he just doesn't want to run the ball and has no feel for it.

NE followed their game plan to perfection, take away the run and make Tannehill beat you and that certainly wasn't going to happen.

Okay guys, I've watched the first half of the game and can make a few comments now.

Thus far, the Dolphins have been out coached and out played at every position on the field (not including special teams).

The defense is being pushed around by the Patsies offensive line. There is no noticeable pass rush putting pressure on Brady. The secondary is two steps behind and passing routes are not being matched. Gronkowski is uncovered and allowed to run freely. Mistake!

The miss-snap by #66 caught RT by surprise. It was to RT's right and resulted in a fumble recovery and a quick 7 points. This appears to have been a knock out blow to the team. Nothing positive happened following that 7 points during the first half. The score is 24 zip.

No running game, no passing game, porous defensive line, no pressure on Brady, no effort to knock Gronkowski coming of the line. What else? Missed tackles. Brady has all the time in the world to hit his receivers.

IMO the team was poorly prepped for the Patsies and it shows. eye rolling smiley

New England's game plan was to take away the run, but to also take away the pass. They challenged our receivers with seven DBs the entire game and our guys couldn't get open.

To make matters worse, our o line couldnt get any push, our D Tackles couldnt get off blocks and they let Wake and Quinn rush because Brady was getting rid of the ball before they could get to him, taking them out of the game. That left our LBers five to six yards down field trying and failing to make tackles.

We never challenged Gronk and our secondary couldnt cover either.

Our punter had a poor game and the coaches had no answers for any of it.

We got beat and out coached in all areas...just a terrible effort all around.

Saw the game, but wasn't near any computer till now. Every part of our team failed.

I will say it until someone on the Dolphins listens... Osweiler OUTPLAYED Tannehill. Why because Tannehill is NOT, NOT, I repeat NOT a pocket QB.

He is run and gun and damn good at it. So why do they keep trying to force a square peg into a round hole????????

I couldn't watch the game so everything I know about it is from reading. (I could watch sport highlights on TV but I'll have to listen to Brady get his butt kissed by the commentators, so no)

NE played 7 DB's for a lot of the game and Miami still couldn't run it?

If you get beat this bad on offense & defense (& special teams) that is more bad coaching and bad game planning more than bad playing.

Ken ........... I know what point you are making, but being a current Athletic Trainer, we bust our asses on a daily basis no matter how bad our team plays. I do agree the rest of the team was awful.

"We never challenged Gronk and our secondary couldnt cover either."
I've heard other people say this, and while the coverage wasn't too good, on Patterson's first touchdown the Pats blatantly picked the X-man right in front of a ref (yes, I know that they do but it's still illegal) and it wasn't called. Ref gave some crap reason that didn't really have anything to do with the play's illegality as to why he didn't call it. As for Gronk, he was a non-factor and he really didn't have a very good game- his stat line was was 4 for 44 yards, no TDs and 2 first downs. The other receivers, however...

I agree with what you said about the pass rush, Colonel, or should we say lack of?

Our DEs were supposed to be a terror to any team Miami faced. Wake and Quinn either get no pressure or they are a step late when they do.

Our OL has to, once again, learn to work together. Sitton and Kilgore out means line cohesion is out. Going to take the "new line" time to figure things out, so I guess our running game won't be doing much for awhile.

Quinn and Drake did get into the back field. Problem was NE wanted them to. Brady was in the shotgun alot and took deep drops. Their line allowed the pressure to come because Brady would get rid of the ball before they could get to him. This also helped them on delayed handoffs because our DE's ran past the plays trying and failing to rush Brady. With no push from our DT's our DE's were caught out in space.

Our D line is made for the DT's to get push to make it all work. When they don't we become ineffective as a group and we don't generate any QB pressure. This makes our whole defense struggle.

This offseason we gotta get quality OG, C, DT, LB and a CB and maybe a WR.

And we need a qb too. A qb that can make players around him better. Tannehill is not that qb.

I wasn't able to watch but looking at all the numbers, this team was not prepared at all. I find it hard to believe that Gase had any game plan whatsoever. Next is our players - They downright stink as much as those who are coaching them. Those first 3 wins were nothing but a tease.

Sam, you need to get off the needing a QB venture.

No one here is arguing that RT didn't have a good game; RT isn't arguing it either, but....not much a QB can do if his line is banged up and allows rushers to get to RT before he has a chance to scan the field. Why do you think the running game has been going nowhere the past couple of weeks? The OL can't open any holes.

Our D got plastered, also. No pass rush, from either outside or interior. DBs are having a hard time, both from their not playing well to the DL getting no pressure, which allows Brady to find the open guy. Brady was also throwing quick passes. Hard to stop a team like that. And, oh, their running game played well against our DL.

I will also throw poor play-calling in there.

So, as you can see, Sam, this game was a complete TEAM meltdown.

Really because Mahomes was under relentless pressure in the first half monday night and his instincts said escape the pocket and make something happen.

Our QB doesn't have those instincts. He plays not to make mistakes. Had that been us Monday night he would have been sacked 5 times and the oline excuse would have been flying.

If I told you we would be 3-1 at this point you all would have laughed. You all realize this is a team sport right? Team didnt play well today including Tannehill. Relax. Lets see if we can get past the injuries and move on.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

New Center hikes the ball over Tanny's head. I really didn't see much wrong he did.

I suggest you watch that play again. It DID NOT go over Tannehill's head- it was a bit high, but still very catchable. No, the problem was that the new center hiked the ball faster than Tannehill was expecting, and he did get his hands on the ball but could not control it. I don't think either of the players can be faulted for the play, unfortunately it was a pivotal one.

It ended up behind the QB so does it really male a difference that it didn't go over his head. It was a bad snap by a replacement center. You want to argue just to argue.

RT said when asked about the snap, "I'm the QB so its my responsibility to catch the ball. I just have to catch it."

I blame the Center for the bad snap because he has to make an accurate snap on the right count...he didn't. Then to a lesser extent, I blame RT because he's right in taking the blame...he has to catch the ball.

Small potatoes though, there is enough blame to cover every player and coach...they each in their own way ruined the game.
