If Ross is smart...

And all indications are that as far as running a football team go, he's not... but if he is smart, he'll be putting together a short list of possible GM names to replace Tannenbaum when he's inevitably fired. One name they should consider is Scot McCloughan. He's young and is considered by many to be a top evaluator of talent in the NFL. Joe Douglas with the Eagles is another name that he should be doing his homework on. Then when he does hire someone, let that person rebuild the team from the ground up. No more saddling a GM with a coach or a staff or even a QB. Find someone you trust and let them do their job.

But that's the problem, his judgement in picking people. Not saying that I have a solution but he would probably pick someone just as bad. It's a Catch 22.

I agree wholeheartedly, but honestly, how could anyone be worse than Tannenbaum? At worst, it'd be a lateral move, but maybe just as the blind squirrel once in a blue moon finds that acorn, perhaps Ross might luck into a competent GM.

LOL. Sad but I have a feeling we are about to find out.

Pray for that.

Ross is a case study in the fragmented nature of intelligence. Or some people can be smart in some topics and a total fool in others. I'm beginning to think his wealth is more a result of an extreme fortune in timing the real estate market rather than any sort of genius, however.

Haters gonna hate...

T-bum isn't the GM, Chris Grier is.

IMO, they both need to go.

Tannenbaum is in charge of free agency. Tannenbaum was the one who negotiated Suh's deal which they now say was the reason he had to be cut. Tannenbaum was the one that traded for Alonso and Maxwell. He's also the one that extended Alonso thereby making it impossible to cut him.

I agree both Tannenbaum and Grier need to go. If they go, Gase should go too. New GM should bring in his own people including head coach.
