It hasn't actually happened yet, can we do this? One of the stupidest sequence of moves the Miami Dolphins have ever facilitated. Anybody associated with this stupidity should be fired immediately. Fire Tannenbaum. Fire Grier. And, if he had anything to do with it, Fire Adam Gase. VOID THIS TRADE! I've been a supporter of Gase up until now, but I can't abide such gross stupidity. Even if he didn't have anything to do with it (and I don't believe he didn't at least agree to it) he should be fired for allowing these idiots to get rid of our BEST offensive player, and for the equalivent of NOTHING. I an so disgusted I cannot believe that these morons actually did this. As I've said over and over again, Is this team better without Jarvis Landry? NO. NO. NO. Is he worth the money? As one of the best WO's in the league (doesn't make ANY difference which WO position he plays) he certainly does. He's played his heart out for three years for PEANUTS. Time for him to get paid. We drafted him, we developed him, let's KEEP him! I'd rather lose Tannenbaum than Landry. Agree?
Vote, please. I'm not asking if you agree with trying to Void the trade, I don't know if that is even possible. I'm just asking if you agree with the trade in the first place.

anything we got for landry is a bonus. no way we should be paying a WR who averages less than 9 yards a catch like he was Antonio Brown. I am fine with the draft pick, a high 4th was best I think we could have hoped for. Our offense was like 30th with him, is he really a difference maker???

That's crazy- well I think probably 30-40 percent of the already weak fan base will leave. Doesn't make sense at all unless they are trying to move the team somewhere else? Orlando? What city needs a team that doesn't mind perpetual losing? Portland, Oregon?
Intangeables!
He is durable, and gives us 100% every down, which is more than I can say for Jay Cutler who they paid 10 million to bring his loser attitude to us.

You forgot to add... "and your doctor is as good in medicine as you are in running a football team"
I am completely denouncing my fanship of the Miami Dolphins. I have been a fan of the Miami Dolphins for over 40 years, I've enjoyed some pretty amazing moments with this team. I struggled to remain a fan when dumbf**k Parcels was busy ruining the franchise, but I cannot take anymore of Tannenbaum. He got fleeced (twice) by the Eagles, now THIS. I'm out.... F*** Ross & Tannenbaum. Such a complete joke of an NFL team. Peace out.....
One less quality player for RT to throw to before getting sacked. My question is: who will take Landry's role and is he on already on the team? Without knowing all the possibilities, it certainly appears to be a very "stupid" trade. Is there a rabbit in the hat?

There is absolutely no one on the roster that can take on Landry's role. Stills is a good deep threat but is not a chain mover His hands are not good enough to replace what Landry did for the offense. DeVante Parker is a joke. He's unlikely to play a full season and if he has so much as a hangnail, he'll disappear. Leonte Carroo is a bust. Jakeem Grant is a gadget type of player. He certainly cannot be expected to be an every-down wide receiver. And obviously we have no tight end. The big loser in all this is Ryan Tannehill. He has literally no chance to be successful next year. Even when his receiving corps was talented, he took a number of sacks because the offensive line was so bad. Now he won't have Landry to bail him out and the offensive line is just as bad if not worse than it ever has been. The cherry on top of the sundae is that Tannenbaum and Greer have absolutely no track record of knowing who to draft. The only potential silver-lining in all of this is the possibility that Ross will fire these two boobs after the team when's a total of two or three games next year. I'm not even sure Ross is bright enough to do that. All in all, it's the same old sorry-ass dolphins.

Maybe, maybe not. Landry was NFL tested. Not all highly touted receivers coming out of college pan out. Davente Parker and Leonte Carroo come painfully to mind.
I understand the Landry trade, although I would rather Miami have found a way to keep him.
Because of some of the signings over the last couple of years, Miami had no salary cap, especially signing Landry to that $16M deal. Miami gained that back with the trade to Cleveland. They still have to do more to be able to sign their rookies and possibly other players. Some cuts will have to be made, i.e., Timmons and J. Thomas. There is also a rumor that Miami is shopping J. James and are thinking of cutting Suh if they are unable to restructure his contract. Pouncy's name keeps popping up, also.
As for Landry....there are reports that Miami had offered him a $12M contract, which he turned down. That contract would have put him in the top 10 of receivers. Granted, every player wants to get as much money as possible (and don't anyone believe the "I play for the love of the game" BS).
I expected Landry to be traded, but when I learned of what Miami got for him, that's where I felt Miami got taken again! A 4th in 2018 and a 7th in 2019? Ugh! Miami should have received, at least a 3rd. The guy is an All Pro.
Oh well, let's see what happens when FA starts and then the draft.

I think a lot of people saw a trade coming. Didn't like it but were ready to try to accept it.
Then we saw what we got for him. Diddly & squat.
