Our secondary is playing too loose and just allowed a play up the middle that put the Jets in field goal range. They let them have the center of the field. Horrific, stupid defense plays.
Jets have just gone, according to announcers, to TWO backs. Hey! That just just just might be a good thing for us to do since they are keying in on Ajayi.
Reshad Jones is a total bust!!
Between him and Maxwell, it's a bust-fest.
RJ got his big contract, and has sucked ever since.
Can't remember the last time he made any kind of play.
He gave up that 3rd and 13, ball went right by him, and he still couldn't break it up.
Then he gets beat by not getting over the top(like the NY FS did on Devante) and gives up a TD.

Can you imagine what Drew Brees will do to this defense. It won't be pretty.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Not that it's the only problem, but I knew we were in trouble when Tannenbaum & co. did nothing to improve the offensive line. Our guards suck. We don't have one NFL caliber guard on the roster.
We have no one that seems interested in making a play today...no one. If we don't start playing an impossible amount better we are in for a 1-15 season fellas.
Our "jet" setters will be heading to Great Britain to prepare for the Saints in a few days. if they are already mentally and physically drained from events of the past 3 weeks, flying across the Atlantic isn't going to lessen the strain. That's life...and the team has to try and pick themselves up and move on.
Heck, today's display might be a fluke, who knows. It's not the end of the world but is certainly exposes the many weaknesses the team still has. Today's display was atrocious...not one player sparkled by making a special play...nothing at all. It was a team loss. From the very top of the franchise to the bottom. The big question is: can the team get it together and bounce back? I'm hoping the answer is "yes."
My expectations aren't very high. The linebackers are terrible and couldn't cover an 80 year old man. The offensive line is just that-offensive. Roster was better last year. Tannenbaum is exactly what I thought he'd be--inept. With him in charge, things will regress and regress.
