LOL. No, SamSam, no one can doubt it. You have always said that Moore is nothing but a backup. You are consistent. You don't change what you say to fit the situation.
As to the rest of the game, I'll post more (not Moore) below.

Do you remember that hit he took last season by Pittsburg? He still feels that hit.
But to be honest, Tanny is far more uncomfortable in the pocket and worst that throwing too early, stands and gets sacked.
Like I said, Tanny is a rollout quarterback and should only be used that way. Injury????? Hey, it's part of the game...or at least a risk you HAVE to take.
Moore has always been a guy who can get it done for three or four games, nothing more. He's never been starter material. There are a few backups out there right now that I'd rather have than Moore. But that said, I don't think we should get rid of him until we can upgrade.
This same categorization of a person that is good for nothing except hobbling your team and its choices. What does "nothing but a backup" mean?
What about the only "perfect season" in NFL history.
Who did it?
Answer: The "backup" Earl Morrall of the Miami Dolphins.
Bob Griese was out early in the season and only ready to come back for the SuperBowl itself.
And, as I have said before, I am only a Miami Dolphin fan because Bob Griese's Senior Year and My Freshman year were spent at the same College, Purdue University.
But I thought it was foolish to put Bob back in for that SuperBowl. I wouldn't say that I was "wrong" but it made no difference.

And I was at the game when Griese went down. It was a home game vs the Chargers. I was actually at the concession stand getting a soda when the play happened, but got back outside just in time to see Griese being rolled off the field on a stretcher.
I was a jaw-dropped kid right there, completely lost. I'd seen players get hurt before but did not even fathom the possibility that Griese could get hurt. I asked my dad what would happen next and he said "oh don't worry. Earl Morrall won a super bowl just two years ago for the Colts. He'll know what to do." Dad was right. We won the game. Then we won the next one. and the next.
Things went so well that I also disagreed with Shula's decision to put in Griese at halftime of the AFC Championship game vs the steelers. But couldn't argue with the result!
It would be funny if Moore won 12 or so games this year for us and we win the Super Bowl. they say history repeats itself right? Well it's been long enough!!

Great story. And that reminded me of Earl's past. I disappointed temporarily when the AFL-NFL Merger came and we were put in a division with not only the Jets and Joe Willy but those Colts as well. I thin that merger came before Earl came to our team. He had backed up Unitas, right?
I see moore more panicked.....Look at his eyes. He looks in shock.
BTW i think the experiment with tannehill is over.
He is not a good pocket qb....And now he is injury prone when on the run. Thats a recipe for disaster. IMO Tannehills tenure with the dolphins is over.
Id be really upset if they dont pick a first round qb next year.
I have a feeling we are going to struggle because of the OL bigtime and endup drafting real high in every round.

Yes, Earl came to the phins in 1972, I believe the merger was 1970.
And yes Earl backed up Unitas and (had to look this up) came off the bench for an injured Johnny U during SB V to guide them to victory. Giving credit where credit is due though, Mike Curtis and the Colts Defense probably was more responsible for that victory than the offense.

Moore takes a licking and keeps on ticking.but he's just a mess.
I'm not writing Tanny off so easily.i admit, his legs were a big part of his game. Psychologically we will see how he comes back from it all.but If he stays healthy Cutler is Def. The short term answer. He looked Fantastic.
