There's nothing wrong with her. She's a Black Woman representing Watts and Compton and the Southeastern half of Los Angeles City (the latter of from which I graduated from High School after leaving Oklahoma and settling down in South Central Los Angeles just in time for the Watts Riots of 1965.)
She was able to win her district but I, a Big Headed guy was stupid enough to run as a Black Democrat in what as one Jewish Congressman in disbelief yelled at me and said, "Wouldn't you agree that that is the most Republican District IN THE STATE?????"
My district? Pasadena, Glendale and Burbank.
Governor Edmund G. (Pat) Brown came down to a mutual friend's house to campaign for me in Pasadena.
He put his hand on my shoulder in front of the crowd and said "My Boy, many people don't know that I started as a Republican and when I couldn't win, I said, 'Well, I'll just take my talents to the Democrats."
In my best Bobby Kennedy voice, I said "I'm not gonna switch."
"No," Pat Brown came quickly back and said, "But you might wanna move."
LOL.
