Why did they say that all we need is something involving Denver? What about the Ravens. They beat the crap out of us. So if we end up tied with only them, why won't they beat us out?

The ravens have to play the steelers tomorrow. If the ravens win and win their final game to get to 10 games, they will win the division. That is why it doesn't matter.

Is that because we have precedence over the Steelers?
The division tie break is done first and the Ravens have already beaten the Steelers once. Miami has the tie breaker over the Steelers, if they lose tomorrow the best than can get to is 10 wins.
Maybe I should take that concession back. We have only 5 losses. No one else was in contention to beat us out in the case of a tie if we got our 6th loss at New England but the Ravens, who were the only other team with six losses.
With their loss, I believe we have clinched a playoff berth.

With their loss, I believe we have clinched a playoff berth. We only can be tied by Denver if we lose to the Pats but even then we have a much better conference record which is the first tiebreaker after head to head.
If we end up tied at 10-6 with Denver, Denver gets in. If Both teams were 10-6 Miami would have the same conference record (7-5) as Denver. The next tied breaker is common opponents, which Denver would have the advantage at 2-2 vs 2-3.
It's my understanding that we are playoff bound with the Steelers beating the Ravens and Chiefs beating the Broncos. Playoff bound...it has a nice ring to it. What a surprising turn of events that we've seen slowly unfold. From early season misery to 10 wins...thus far. I never thought we'd get there...yet, I'm utterly thrilled that we are there.
The team has learned to win...some of the wins have been by the skin of our teeth...yet those wins are like home runs in baseball that barely clear the fence. Home runs are just that home runs. Time to rejoice and it clearly brings more good cheer to the end of 2016.
Dolphins are currently 6th in the seeding. For Miami to get 5th, they need to beat New England and KC needs to lose to San Diego.
The 6th see will play at Pittsburg, the 5th seed will play at Houston. Pittsburg is locked to the 3rd seed and Houston is lock to the 4th seed and that can not change. Obviously playing Houston is an easier path with their QB troubles.
New England currently has home field advantage (1 seed) and has locked up a 1st round bye. If New England loses to Miami and Oakland beats Denver, Oakland would have the 1 seed and home field, so unfortunately NE does have something to play for. The Miami-NE is before the Oakland Game as well. With Oakland losing Carr NE may not care about home field as much. Oakland maybe not may it to the AFC championship game and if they do, NE probably isn't scared to play Oakland with their backup QB.
Kansas City can also get the 2nd seed, if they win and Oakland loses. So KC has something to play for.

Becuase if we win it all with Tannehill you would have to admit you were wrong. Both of you, so as long as Tannehill stays hurt you are both safe. Pussies.
