Did anyone catch that the Pats will now have 4 picks in the 2nd round and 2 picks in the first round next year?

yikes... I don't know why any team would trade with New England any more.... it shows how good Miami was to get picks away from them

The Panthers and Broncos both gave up 2010 first rounders.
I think that was a stupid move on the Broncos part....it was for Alphonso Smith after they signed Goodman to a fat contract.
Giving up a 1st for a 2nd is rarley a good move.
Now the 49ers and Seahawks will have two 2010 first round picks each.

And next years draft is LOADED with talent. ABSOLUTLY LOADED. There are 2 safties that will go Top 10. And ONE is considered the next ED REED.... but better!!!!!!

Add to the list that the Pats will get a couple of compensatory 3rd rounders for no apparent reason.
Does anyone have a definative clear article on how the compensatory draft picks are awarded?
I have researched it before and found nothing that really did a good job of explaining the process and rules.

comp picks are passed out depending on how many free agents you lose and there is some formula they use

My guess is that Belicheat is the author of the formula and that he is given an opportunity each year to tweak it in case it is somehow out of sync with the Pats' current needs.

2/3 of the worst trades of the draft went in favor of the PATS
this makes no sense for the Titans...
Titans receive:
» 2009 third-round pick (No. 89):
TE Jared Cook
Patriots receive:
» 2010 second-round pick
and the Jaguars...
Jaguars receive:
» 2009 third-round pick (No. 73):
DB Derek Cox
Patriots receive:
» 2009 seventh-round pick (No. 232): QB Julian Edelman
» 2010 second-round pick
COLLUSION???
What are the BRONCOS doing????
Seahawks receive:
» 2010 first-round pick
Broncos receive:
» 2009 second-round pick (No. 37): CB Alphonso Smith
