Rumor has it that Pouncy (the wimp) is hanging it up for the season due to his sore hip. He has no tolerance for pain. Suck it up buddy!
Here we go again... The most fragile group of offensive linemen I have ever seen in my life!
We are now toast, as we have absolutely no depth!
I think we should grab the best offensive lineman from the CFL....maybe that will help.

We have 2 viable backups (Steen and Urbik). What else do we have?
That is 1/2 deep ... If that. This hip thing with Pouncy is obviously a serious issue. We can't depend on him. It's not a matter of if but when he goes down again with injury. Not fair to the team.
I haven't seen anything to indicate he is out for the season. That may end up being true, but at the moment, all I can find is that he pulled himself out of practice, and it's not looking good for this week.
One man down next man steps up. When a nfl player cannot play he cannot play. Athletes want to play.I don't care for Pouncey as a person but I definitely do not think he is a wimp.

So much for the winning streak with our starting five all being healthy.
With Steen and Urbik starting Sunday (team not yet sure about whether Pouncey is a go or not), it is true there isn't much dept behind them. Have to hope these guys all stay healthy.
You say we can't depend on Pouncey; I would argue that Albert can't be counted on. He's missed numerous games since being signed by Miami. For LT, at least Miami already has the future in Tunsil. Now Miami has to shore up a couple of other positions on the line.
Anyway, here's hoping our guys play well vs LA and can open up the holes for Ajayi.
In December , every game is huge. Players must learn to play with discomfort and pain.
Pouncy is a true wimp. I think it's time to trade or release him...

Might need to be replaced. It's basically a ball that turns and swivels and provides 90% of any athletes power. ????
I would argue that DE & LB are our top priorities. Steen is a capable backup to Pouncy, (Pouncy also has a 5million cap hit next year.) OL, CB, & TE would be other priorities.
I really think the team needs to look at options regarding the center position. The team plays much better when Pouncey is in, but he's unreliable due to his injury history. You can be the best center in the world but you're useless to your team if you're always on IR. I don't know what the ceiling on Steen is, but he'd have to improve a whole hell of a lot to be one of those options.
We have to renegotiate Pouncey's contract. Right now he is not going to walk away from that money by retiring, and has no trade value. It was dumb of us to give him that contract in 2015.
As I said before its time to start easing our injury prone players out the door. Jenkins, Cameron and Albert next year and perhaps Pouncey in 2018.
Anthony Steen was on the practice squads of Arizona and Miami, so this is the only year he has had any playing time in the NFL. I don't know what his ceiling is, but he probably has some additional room for improvement.
Jenkins and Cameron are free agents next year and I would be shocked if they resign them. I still see Miami keeping Albert and maybe Pouncy around for another year until they have enough depth to replace them. Both Pouncy and Albert both still play at pro bowl level when they are healthy and Miami has plenty of cap room next year.
Let's hope he has a high ceiling, because I keep hearing how he's playing pretty well- although from what I've seen, he's barely adequate. I think he's the weak link on this O-line right now. I keep wondering why Kraig Urbik hasn't gotten a chance to compete for the spot, he can't be much worse. Don't believe me? Check the tapes from the last three weeks, he's a major reason why we haven't been able to run the ball between the tackles lately.
I like Steen I think having spent time at C this year will help him in the future. We have to let Albert go I like the guy but we need healthy dependable people now. 2 out of 5 starting players on the oline w/ injury problems is too many. Their injuries are chronic and will pop up again in 2017.
