That's good stuff Gase is doing with Tannehill. Those are the kinds of thing a leader needs to do and Gase seems to realize it.

Shula gave Marino the playbook and made him call his own plays his rookie camp. I like that approach.

Right it is basic. So much of Gase is common sense. Did he really help Manning no but he did not get in his way. The big thing w/ Manning and (ugh) Brady is that they both demand that their receivers run the correct routes and dig in their **** when they don't. Be at that x spot when the ball gets their like its written on the board. I think Landry, Carroo and Whalen are those types of receivers. Slice up the D w/ precise routes and catches then every so often go for the big play w/ Parker or Stills. Tanne has improved on the mid range passes since he has been here Im hoping he makes that jump.

I truly believe that many of the Dolphins problems over the past years were attributable to poor coaching. We have all probably been in work situations where management sucked. Bad management/coaching can hold a company back or not develop an employee. Gase is empowering Tanneyhill and I think he is going to show signs of real improvement/development. Yes, they are professionals making millions, but its still a work environment. When the environment sucks, the end product sucks as well.
