Put it this way......I think if our guards were as good as pouncey.........The running game would be way better and tannehill will benefit from this much.

I have been saying this for the pass 2 seasons. Pouncey walks up to the line and points to the same spot on every play. He is not pointing out nothing. Defenses has to love him. He does not pick out stunts or blitzes at all. He often double teams the wrong guy. He like to block and pull left and does little work on the right side. Center is the most cerebral position on O after qb and Pouncey is one of the dumbest centers in the league. He needs to go back to guard or traded. Fans fall in love with his macho tough guy act and athleticism but he is one of this teams biggest problems.

Tunsil is precisely why you do NOT trade UP in the 1st round (unless you're going after a sure-thing #1 QB like Andrew Luck).

Exactly! I was so disappointed when we waved Satelle and moved Pouncey back to Center. He's missing something between his ears.

I laugh every time I see that video. Some day these kids will learn that their quest to become popular via social media will come back to haunt them.

Pouncey was not good at RG. He is a natural center. All the BS about lack of intelligence, lack of leadership, etc. is unfounded and contrary to what most NFL people believe.

Has he missed blocks? made mistakes? failed to pick up a stunt? made a bad snap? Of course! Everyone has at some point. Has he had his plate full by trying to do too much on a pathetic line? Hell yes. If you want to judge him on a handful of bad plays then you are not looking at the big picture.

He is still a top 10 center. He's not top 5 but he's a solid top 10. Put him next to anything resembling competent guards and he is probably a top 5 center.

This is who he's played next to.....

2011: Richie Incognito and Vernon Carey

This is by far the best group he has been with but that was the last time Carey was able to even make a team. He retired the following year after the Dolphins refused to sign him.

2012: Richie and John Jerry

Jerry was AWFUL in pass protection and it probably didn't help that he had to compensate for waste case, Jonathan Martin.

2013: Half the season with Richie who gave up 6 sacks in 8 games and then it was Nate Garner and John Jerry. Wow.

2014: Suspended 4 games and then played RG.

2015: Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner. Two turnstiles.

But yes. Mike Pouncey is to blame for all of these guards failures. Get real.

My prediction: He will have the best season of his career playing next to Laremy Tunsil and Jermon Bushrod.
