More prove that new england didnt care about last game of season.

They beat kansas city. And kansas city is 100 times more complete team than the dolphins...

To the blind...

Do you realize now that new england didnt give a crap if they win that last game of the season.

They win when it matters.

That last game of the season didnt matter to them....Plus they hurt the dolphins on the draft order.

So tell me Sam, do you really think Belichick told his team "Don't worry, we don't need to win this game so we're not going to play 100%"? No HC in their right mind would ever say that! Especially when there was a prize for winning, which was home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

I think you're wrong Sam. Belichick is a fierce competitor who doesn't let up and never has mercy for his opponents. Losing to Miami gave home field advantage to Denver instead of NE throughout the playoffs. So guess what? If Denver & NE face each other for the AFC title, they'll be playing in Denver. You really think Belichick didn't care about that?

This is what happened, Sam...I think Belichick underestimated Miami and game planned to run the ball down the Dolphins' throats and gas our defense so NE could end up doing anything they wanted. Our run defense stunk all season long and he wanted to exploit that. Just so happens that Miami stepped up their game on both sides of the ball. We had nothing but pride to play for so Belichick thought Miami would simply roll over. But that didn't happen.

Playing a game within a division is always a tough match up no matter how good or shitty an opponents record is. Sometimes the outcome is completely opposite of what everyone expected, which is exactly what happened with Miami & NE in week 17. I've seen it happen in every division in the NFL over the years.

In all honesty, KC played and coached like $#!T,
WTF was Andy Ried doing in the last 7 minutes?!
And then on-side kicks it right to where NE wanted him to. Right to Gronk...nice coaching!! Maybe have something set up so you can kick it either way??? LAME!

No way in carajo did the Patsies not-care about the game against us,. No way did they not-care about securing home field advantage. Because of Denver's win today, the Patsies need to play IN DENVER next week. If they'd have beaten us, the Patsies would have a home game vs. Denver next week.

if they didn't care about the game, they would have rested Tom Baby or at the very least would have pulled him from the game after Suh hit him and he hurt his ankle.

GO BRONCOS

Exactly. Sam why would it benefit them at all to lose? belichick is the kind of guy who would cheat at Battleship and Monopoly because he hates to lose so badly. No way I leave him in a room with a board game by himself if I had to take a piss.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

For some reason "sam I am" strikes me as someone that loves to hate this team.

Of course the Pat's wanted to win the game against us...but they did not want to win it bad enough to get any of their must have players hurt.

So they came out with a conservative game plan that protected the roster...if they won great, if not great. I really think Belichick was OK with it either way as long as it helped the team reach their goals.

So far it has...

If that game would had decided the AFC east champ, new england would had won it.

We all hate this team. We are out of the playoffs once again.

We been rebuilding for about 20 years now.

You could tell in the new england players body language they didnt care

How about new englands game before...

Is that a first?

You win the toss in overtime and give the ball to the other team....

There is got to be a reason for him wanting to lose both our game and the game before.

Yes. NE wanted to be the road team in the AFC Championship instead of playing at home. That's why they lost on purpose.

Yeah, 808, he's a cheater but not stupid. He didn't want to get Brady hurt BEFORE the playoffs.

I doubt the Patriot wanted to lose. The game plan was too conservative and the Ptriots came out flat. Under Belichick, the Patriots are 1-2 in the playoffs at Denver. The only win was against tebow. Historically the Patriots have not done well in Denver in the thin air. Brady is also 2-2 against Manning in the playoffs as well with the home qb winnning every games.

The television commentators, at the end of the game, (or maybe different commentators at the beginning of the Carolina/Arizona game) stated that had there not been that loss at Miami, then the Patriots would not have had to play this game in Denver but would have been home.

Again, did they want to win against us? Yes.

But did they want to win at all costs meaning perhaps injury Brady? No.

But to say that the game against Miami was absolutely meaningless to them, I do not agree with.

They obviously would have preferred to win. But they are so arrogant they thought they didn't need to try and felt even if they lost and had to play on the road they would win. Just arrogance pure and simple. Glad it bit them in the ass

Sorry but I'm not buying your theory or anyone else's about them not giving 100% in week 17. Our defense was nothing to write home about all season long, so no big threat to Brady there. Our run defense was even worse, which is what they attempted but failed to exploit. Home field advantage is huge in the playoffs, Chyren.

But 808, I was one of the ones rejecting the theory that they didn't try.

But don't you remember Tom Brady getting smacked around early and beginning to look injured?

They then started running the ball.

And like I said in other posts, we're pretty crappy against the run anyway so why not have the best of both worlds and try to win by running if you are New England.

But if that doesn't look like it's working, do you risk injury to Brady.

The Dolphins were making it clear that they were coming after Brady.

So if giving 100% meant risking Brady, I don't agree, my Hawaiian friend.

No worries. I don't think the Pats expected Miami to play as hard as they did. Underestimated them perhaps. Anyway, water under the bridge. I'm just happy that they and their arrogant fans are denied appearing in SB 50 smiling smiley

Now that I can buy! That they underestimated us.

Because if you look at the postings in the thread above, the only other possible rational (now I said rational, I didn't say good) motive for them letting us beat them would be because we would be hurting our own position in the upcoming draft by winning.

However, as I said above, we always draft so poorly anyway, so unless New England is blind, that is not a 'good' explanation.

Their fans may be classless but the organization is the standard. They had more than their share of injuries but, were able to make adjustments while the rest of us are making excuses. I'm glad they lost yesterday but, they were in it to the very end.
Next season they will once again be favored to win the division while we will be fighting for a wildcard.

Whatever the case may be regarding their efforts or attitude coming into the game...I'm so glad they had to play that game in Denver. A close game like that right up to the end - no one can convince me that the home field crowd didn't make a huge difference.

That they wanted to win or not is not the issue anymore....

The issue is we are all happy today monday-25-2016

Since they lost against denver in the AFC championship.

It was good to see the Dolphins win had some impact on Patriot season ending early.
