Well Happy New Year Dolphins fans, we're headed for more of the same as usual. Year after year this never ends and there's no end in sight.
Treasure, I feel sorry for you brother. You've spent a lot of money going to games and I must say that I guess I'm happy that it's geographically impossible (without flying 6k miles!) and financially unsound for me to invest so much money in fandom the way you have. You sir have earned every right to bitch as much as you want about the state of this franchise.
I can only hope that there's a miraculous turnaround for this team in the near future, as Dolphins fans it's been a real disappointing journey for us all for such a long time. I personally have learned (especially this year) not to get my hopes up at all, and definitely wont in the beginning of the season for 2016. It's pretty sad to expect no playoff hopes and the usual disappointment.
Well we have one more game to be humiliated with, but I'd really like to see this team beat the Pats. Playing them twice a year is as close to playing in a playoff game that this team will see for years. Draft position doesn't matter at this point - this franchise will fail at that anyway I'm sure even if they had the #1 pick.
Its parked next to my Joe Robbie Stadium seats and I can sit there and cry in my beer after the games.............I feel bad for Dennis Hickey. I think he had our better interests at heart. Now that Tannebum is gone the Jets are doing decent. And we are stuck with him. Nothing good will come of our association with him.
Ross has been sending these letters annually. I said from the day Tannenbaum was hired we'd be screwed for 3 - 4 years.
With that joke running the show I think our best bet is getting someone like Mora or Marrone that have HC experience and enough clout to assemble a legit staff. And by legit staff I mean with actual NFL experience. Not grad assistants getting their first gig in the NFL or Merchant Marine Academy DCs.
I'm sure there's some candidates that have HC experience I missed but you get the drift.
I don't hold out much hope with Tannembaum heading the search.
I am not pumped about the dolphins immediate future. Our only real hope is that Ross sells the Team to someone who is actually a real dolphins fan. The Jets actually overcame losing their starting QB and had a decent season ending in a possible playoff spot. I think what hurts the most is we are again the laughing stock of the AFC east.
Another interesting perspective.......Just spoke to my mailman who is a season ticket holder. He had a huge smile on his face. he is a huge Phins fan and would love nothing more then to go to every game and see the phins win.
But since that's not the case he sold his tickets on line to every game since the Dallas game. The Pats tickets sold for $1200 for the pair. So expect a nice Patriots presence at tomorrows game. he has already signed up for the same seats next year.

I recall a poster (can't remember the name) who lambasted many of us for not having a positive attitude in the beginning of the season about our Fins. Well, how does 5-10 (probably 5-11) sound to ya?
Hopefully, the poster now understands where the long timers here are coming from. Just about every year, the Fins look great on paper and should be battling NE for first in the division; but the realty is this team is constantly battling to stay out of the bottom of the pile.
Anyway, there's always next year, right? (I'm thinking positive).

I really wonder if the Chip Kelly firing has hurt college coaches (with no NFL experience) from getting a HC job in the NFL?
One can look at the hot names in college coaching and say "Wow, that guy will make my team better." That was Chip Kelly, Steve Spurrier, and our very own Nick Saban.
Hopefully, Ross goes after the names that have had NFL experience, ala Jim Mora, Jr.
Think C. Pagano may be of interest to the Fins? How about Harbaugh (again)?
