I can imagine Ross playing his fiddle while the Dolphins franchise burns.

first time in forever I did not watch the game though I did check in online now and then. so pathetic, but great loss. should be in line for a top 5 or at least 10 pick now. beating sD would have really hurt that so the day is a success

I cant see a loss as a success, we have lost so many games over the years and that has not been a success, just sucks..

Worst run team in the NFL. Period. If there was any justice, they'd play to an empty stadium next week.

Ross don't care he will get his TV money.. He don't care who shows up... He is trying to price us out of being able to go to games, with all those high priced empty seats that us normal fans can't afford... I gave up my seats after many years, I miss the tailgating, but boy do I not miss the ride home after loss after loss after loss....

The WORST part was...Danny Woodhead. Every time I see that little hobbit I think Patriots. I'm starting to wonder if this team isn't worse that the Cam Cameron bunch. How can we suck so bad on so many levels...ugh.

Funny how as fans we take all this hard, and Tannehill thinks its funny.. I understand Joking, but when the team plays this bad the QB is supposed to be the leader... Im ready to break things and this guy makes jokes... Grrrrrrrr.... I need to stop listening to Miami sports radio...

Q: What’s the No. 1 reason the Dolphins are out of the playoff hunt with three weeks to go?

Tannehill: “We didn’t win enough games.”

Q: Why didn’t you win enough games?

Tannehill: “We didn’t score enough points.”

Q: Why didn’t you score enough points?

“Because we didn’t get in the end zone enough. I can keep going if you want.”

Tannehill’s news conference was a regular Abbott and Costello act.

Wow 14 points when they meant nothing. 5 and 11 is very likely.

Mr. Ross this is shameful.

this is worse than the cam cameron bunch. that team at least was a clean slate after the 1-15 year. we are in cap purgatory next few years and old at a lot of positions. plus the cam team was a total wipe out that off season but that idiot ross has saddled us with tannenbaum so there will be no improvement

the Dolphins front office structure is a mess, no one knows who is in charge.. Ross needs to move to Miami during the season, and work out of his office at the stadium, he can conduct his other business from there, he is an absent owner.. He needs to pick a person to run the Team and let them start all over.. Trust in that person to build a team, and you just be on site as the face and to make sure there is a person to answer to.. The product on the Field will never be great until the structure is great.. The answer is not loosing more then everyone else to get a good draft pick, we have done that way to many years now...

Mike Tannenbaum is in charge. I think they all know that and if they don't, they will shortly.

And unfortunately so will we. He's the king of splashy offseason moves. High priced FAs and draft day trades. We're going to be stuck with that at the least for the next 2 years.

Can't wait to see our short list of HC candidates. I'm sure it will be the who's who of available coaches.

Ross putting Tannenbaum in charge proves one of two things. Ross is either a moron or he doesn't care about winning.Either way,the future is bleak.

You sure its not Dawn Aponte, or any other person, locally we continue to hear leaks about no one knowing who they answer to.. Its a hot mess....

Ross should put Marino in charge. He's a Dolphin through and through.
At the end of his career he could have squeezed in another year or two playing for someone else but, had enough sense to admit that his playing days were over. His loyalties are not all over the place and his roots are firmly in South Florida.

Whether Dan Marino could run this franchise without really good assistance from others who are in the "know" connection wise is doubtful. However, could the franchise do any worse? Maybe, maybe not.

The thing that comes to mind is Dan tarnishing his reputation as being a great HOF player but a HOF zero in the business world. It would be a challenge for him of monumental proportions. He'd have to work harder than he did as a player to achieve success that would not be criticized by everyone thoughout the NFL plus every fan that has an opinion on anything.

Would Dan risk it? I can't imagine that he would take that risk.

What has Marino ever shown to indicate he could run this team or even wants to? He's worked for team this year in some capacity or other and I never heard one peep from him or about him. He was given the gm role once before and quit after a month because it was too much work. We need to move off thAt pipe dream that bc he was a great player he can somehow be a great gm

The phins historically have never brought back ex players for front office or coaching positions. I have always wondered why. Marino and Dwight Stephenson are the only ones I can think of who got opportunities.

Marino did blow his chance when he did not want to scout. Hard to become a gm not knowing how to scout.

Why does the owner own this team? Just a tax thing?

It is obvious he doesn't care about the product on the field.

Marino was never the GM. He was vice president of football operations or, some such title. At the time he was also gainfully employed at HBO and CBS. Nowadays his attention can be a bit more focused on the Dolphins.
I believe he would be able to assume a John Elway type role and still has the connections to assemble a competent staff.
He knows what it takes to win and, I believe still has the competitive fire.

"Marino was never the GM"

Right but I remember he went to scout I think it was the Blue Grey game and really complained about the weather. After that he made up his mind that broadcasting full time was the career path he would take. Elway started out the management path soon after his retirement. I really think its too late for Marino. You cannot just step into that role and have things fall into place.

Yeah, only other exceptions I can think of is Bob Matheson being an assistant coach in the 80s, and Nat Moore currently holding a FO position.
