I have had time to cool down after our first pick. I like Davis, and I remember yelling at our secondary all last season. But I have to think we could have gotten a pretty good corner deeper in the draft. We had some great players who can put points up on the board. I have never been a fan of getting Db's in the first.
yep should have gotten either britt or maugluaga whatever and got smith at 56 but what do i know im just a fan now who the hell we going to take at 56th? better be pat white.

Smith's stock has fallen since the combine and his private workouts. He didn't show the quickness or change of direction needed at corner, so most think he's destined for S in the NFL.
I am still reeling from Oher going to Baltimore. $%@^!
It was a good pick and he definitely fits, but I know we will meet the Ravens at a critical point in the season next year and Oher is good. Very good.
Well, so far Camarillo and Bess have to be great, our Center has to stay healthy, Crowder and Ayodele better play great, Cam Wake better pan out, Porter better have a good year, and Merling better step into Holdiay's shoes with no problem...because the FO decided that corner was our priority this year.
Maybe it's the smart move, maybe our corner situation was really bad. But I figured we could get one later. It's just a downer.
Brian Robiskie has done a number of interviews on Sirius, and he's made it clear that we're very interested in him. Don't be surprised to see him at #44, if he lasts until then. I would also see us looking at Massaquoi, Murphy, Barden, and Knox.
We'll still have OLB to choose from, with Clint Sintim, Connor Barwin, Cody Brown, and Paul Kruger.
People have to remember, this was a horrible year for corners. We had a major need at the position. We don't have a starting caliber corner opposite Will Allen, and Allen is a free agent at the end of the year. Vontae Davis was the one guy in the whole draft that had size, speed, production, experience, and who has shown he can be physical. Yes, he has a lot of red flags with regard to his attitude. But, he's the most talented corner in this draft.
