Can the Fins continue that enthusiasm? Lot of fire in their bellies, but can they maintain? They were "having fun", but they were also winning. What will their mentality be if they are losing?
Overall, yesterday's game was played very well. However, there are still some areas that need to be cleaned up if they are to have any chance at all of beating the good teams (i.e., NE coming up in a couple of weeks). I would grade both sides of the ball a B-.
Offense played well, but, although not all on RT, those two interceptions can't happen. Our guys need to get on the same page (and also hold on to the ball when it hits you in the hands). The OL played well...was it because of Albert's return and Turner getting the start? I don't know, but RT was "only" (as said by a sports writer) sacked two times.
The defense also played well, but not consistent. Wake had four first half sacks...what happened in the second half? Was he pulled to rest his hamstring? Suh still isn't getting in there, but its understood that he is getting double teamed. Hopefully he can break through that. At $114M, he better. Our passing D leaves a lot to be desired. The passes that Mariotta threw that were 10 yards or more, the majority were completed. On a few occasions, our DBs were no where to be seen. QBs like Brady will eat them up. BTW, Miami plays San Diego down the road, and Rivers put up 503 yards yesterday.
Anyway, a good win yesterday and hopefully the players can keep it up.
Well, obviously it wasn't perfect but it certainly laid the framework for improvement. Every team makes mistakes, even the good ones, the difference is that the great ones have a short memory. And that's exactly what I saw from our team, the ability to make those mistakes and come right back at the other guys.
Perfect? far from it, but I'll take it and hope to see more of the same.
It was a far cry from the <<HO HUMM>> days of Philbin football. It was entertaining to watch. I'm sorry, I refuse to curb my enthusiasm. I see a team trying to win and not trying to keep it close. Finally, we're getting talked about on the network. All players want to win and now they finally have a coach that does too. Campbell is auditioning for the HC job and it shows.

There seems to be a problem between T-hill and Cameron (kind of surprising, as he is a TE). Yes, the first pick was a catchable ball off of Cameron's hands, but the second one was a miscommunication with the same player- he apparently ran the wrong route, T-hill threw to a spot. They had other troubles too, until they got on the same page for the late TD. What I'm saying is that if receivers had picks on their stat sheets, Cameron would have had two yesterday.

Getting sacks is NOT a DT's job, those are supposed to come from the DEs. His job is to occupy multiple blockers on pass plays, freeing up the DE's to rush the passer, and to clog up the middle on runs. He did his job effeciently yesterday. Any sacks he gets are incidental, and just gravy.

It was great to see the team play with some enthusiasm, Dan Campbell is not the 2nd coming of Shula just yet... He is very Inexperienced, he has to rely on other Coach's for game Management, Lets see how the Players respond when the rar rar pompom days are done and he faces adversity with a player.. Or how he handles the Media and Fans getting on him for mismanaging a game... I am rooting for him, but I am not ready to crown him just yet... Hope he has the team fired up for our first ever win against the Texans...

Yea it's my understanding that Suh isn't a sack machine. His value comes in that he is REQUIRED a double team therefore freeing up de's and being a beast against the run.
Campbell's look sort of reminds me of that coach Minnesota had a while back, just not bald.
