Really, its doing Philbin a favor. Not letting him twist in the wind when he has no chance of being back next year anyway. However, I consider it a positive only if they fire Coyle. Coyle needs to go asap.
According to Omar Kelly's twitter page, Sun Sentinel confirms that Philbin has been fired and Dan Campbell is interim coach. Still waiting to hear that Coyle is gone as well.
I like the move, although Dan Cambell has very little experience, he is young and very popular among the players... He is a players coach...

For sure, the players will rally behind him. They will want him to succeed and be the next HC...

Good move getting rid of this mediocre bad HC. My concern now is Ryan's mental state in the games to come. The ball carriers and receivers are in the same range of mediocrity as the aforementioned. With that sorry cast not even the Patriots coach could have done anything here. Can't forget about the OL. Same mediocrity. In threads here I used the term consistency. Sadly that one does not apply anywhere to this organization. Not even close. Let us hope Campbell can somehow rescue the place. "Playoffs, we are talking about playoffs". Let's see if the team can win one freaking game.
