This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
The only way I can watch the rest of this season is by looking at who we keep and who we get rid of. I am crossing my fingers that the coaching staff is gone, but who do we keep and who do dump?
I say dump Wake, all the linebackers, Ablert, Jennings. I know there is a few more, but that is at least where I start towards rebuilding.
I like a lot of the offense, even the line at times, but it seems to be so limited and predictive, that it hard to judge the talent. Albert needs to go. He is always hurt and the offense actually looks better when he is out. I am still not sold on Tannehill, but then again it is hard to gauge. He plays good at times and then looks like Chad Henne others. Unfortunately, he looks like Henne today and we just signed him to a long term contract. So who else is on the chopping block?
I used to love Zach Thomas and JT. I don't feel that way about any player except for maybe Landry. I love Tanny , but if we got a new head coach that wanted to go in a different direction..... So be it. But I don't see it happening.
Wake should have been moved, albert may be done, Jennings a zero so far. Other than Landry, most of our draft picks have been busts, Unfortunately we have used most of our cap room unwisely
We keep Albert and Tanne we have money invested in both and both can contribute to the solution. Wake can go if his salary allows it. So are Jenkins and Misi.
Gone
Moore - we need a cheaper backup. 2.6 mil
Vernon - he has earned his money but we need a run stopper DE 1.7
Delmas 2.9
Mosley .66
Sheppard 2mil
Like the last 3 games of the 2011 season when Sporano was kicked out and Bowles was the interim. The players were motivated clicking and playing hard. You could tell that they were playing for a coach that they respected.
We have players they need to be lead. You bring in perhaps the best DT in the game today and all of sudden he sucks?
What I observed prior to the start of the game was the TV camera on both Todd Bowles and Philbin. What I noticed was no player was coming up to Phiblin in contrast to players saying things to Bowles. Could this be an indication on how well liked the coach is or isn't? If it is, Bowles has something going for him. I also see the same type of chatter when I've watched Pete Carroll. Players like to relate with him apparently. Believing in your leader makes a big difference on how hard one performs.

Philbin needs to go, as well as Lazor with his offense and Coyle with his defense. Miami needs to be a tough physical team with an offense that can both run the ball down an opponent's throat and use the ENTIRE field in the passing game.

The whole coaching staff needs to go as well as Aponte.
Albert is an injury magnet. Keep Pouncey and James. Tannehill should be given a chance in another system but NOT FOR LONG and NO EXCUSES should be used if he STILL can't make a difference. The rest of the offense I think you could replace without trying hard.
There is no one on the defense I would shed a tear over losing except maybe Grimes although part of me thinks Suh HAS to be better than he's showing for whatever reason.

This is the plan I agree with most, with the possible exception of keeping Rizzi. We also probably 'need' to keep Suh because of the $ we re on the hook for.
