It still doesn't make anything I said less true.

You said: "You know what wins games? NOT THROWING INT's".

Well, he didn't throw any interceptions (AGAIN). Did we win the game?

How's that theory working out for you?

Lots of things win games. In my mind, what loses games is when you can't run or stop the run. Add in, not being able to sack the opposing QB, and the chances of winning decrease even more. Honestly, with the exception of Tannehill having decent numbers, and Landry's punt return, what has Miami done exceptionally well this year? I can't think of one single thing.

The punting has been decent.

Pretty good actually. I'm very sure a part of every teams offense play every week is "not throwing INT's". Unfortunately Miami didn't get your memo this past week though on winning against a very inferior team.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

It takes everything going right to WIN a game but any game can be lost if the smallest thing goes wrong. Not saying you have to be perfect to win but that if you lose anything can do it.

Against the Redskins I don't know how we pulled off a win. That's why I said, we didn't win, the Redskins lost.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

What wins games is scoring more than the opponent.

Interception are a big deal to offenses that struggle to score. To those that do not struggle to score it is not a big deal. There are qbs who throw ints and have higher rating than those who do not.

I have a matrix for qb ranking and there I equate an int to 0/2 passing (2 failed passing attempts as in failed 2nd and 3rd dn lost opportunity) and also -40 yards for lost punt opportunity. For offenses that struggle an int is a lost opportunity on top of already many failed drives. They cannot afford it.

Sacks are less significant. A sack to me is an equvalent of passing 0/1 and -7 yards. Sacks do not impact qb stats significantly but they do put an offense in long down situation making a turnover on downs more likely. For offenses that struggle like ours that is significant because again it is a lost opportunity.

Teams that attack the sticks instead of completing passes well short of sticks, teans that attack endzone and score at high rate per attempt are less impacted by those negative plays, so the general perception that sacks and ints will doom you is incorrect because it depends on a team.
