Things that need to change from the washington game...

1. Tannehill dont hold too long to the football. Hit the wide open long ball.....Sims and stills were open deep. this jacka$$ almost got sims killed.

2. Give lamar miller more carries.

3. Blitz more on defense be more aggressive.Have some balls.

4. Get devante parker more involved.

5. Use a faster pace offense....Confuse the other team with the no huddle...No more vanila offense. Be aggressive from the beginning.

6. Score points when you can....Don't go for it on 4th down when you don't have to....That goes for the Idiotic philbin............When the game is 3-0 in favor of the other team and the other team has your number you play to tie the game and turn the tempo around. Heard me dumbass. Thats for philbin.

7. Number 7 would be for philbin to improve his IQ by a few points. But thats impossible.

GO PHINS.

I may be wrong are thinking of another play but I seem to remember the announcers talking about how on one play a receiver was open but the pass was not thrown sooner. If this play was NOT that play but it happened on another play and Tanny had a justification for THIS play, then what difference does it really make if it was not this but another play where the criticism was on point?

Maybe try to convert that fiasco of a paragraph into a legible thought and I'll try and respond.

Oh, I am sure if you guys relax and "try real hard" as your teachers tell you to, you will understand. Oh, this only applies to Joe and holic.

That bad pass to Sims was 100% Tanne's fault. Sims was wide open and got injured giving %110 trying to catch an uncatch-able pass. I like Tanne but Sims was wide open and had plenty of room Tanne just could not put enough touch on the drop to drop it in there. Like I pointed out earlier Cousins dropped the ball perfectly to Reed on the same route for the Skins TD.

I was kinda pissed at Tanne on that throw. That's like leading your receiver right into the strong safety.

Ian Wharton (who does an outstanding job on Twitter with the all access NFL tape) broke this play down, according to him Sims wasn't as open as you might think

Ian Wharton ?@NFLFilmStudy · 22h22 hours ago
On Tannehill overthrow to Sims- thought live Sims was wide open, but not the case. Had a step, but VERY hard throw (he actually posted a still shot of this)

Ian Wharton ?@NFLFilmStudy · 22h22 hours ago
It was a bad throw, and we’ve seen Tannehill hit this play before. But an odd call to have Sims run this play. Too awkward as a receiver

Ian Wharton ?@NFLFilmStudy · 22h22 hours ago
This is a complex play because Sims has a faster SAF covering him. Tannehill correctly tries to lead upfield, just too much air and it sails

At first I would have agreed that it was a bad pass but to blame the injury on RT is just plain stupid. No defensive players were involved. he laid out for it and smacked his head on the ground.

I have the replay freeze framed right now. I see Sims with both feet down and dragging 5 ft inside the out of bounds line in the end zone. The ball is still 3 ft from him.

Next frame: I see Sims with both feet dragging 4ft inside and the fingertips of one hand and a the palm of the other hand touching the ball.

Had he run through it instead of laying out too early, this is a catch-able ball. Had he taken one more step (before jumping) he catches it and doesn't have to lay out for it.

It wasn't a great pass but it wasn't as bad as some on here are saying.

Who gives a rats ass what Cousins did ON ONE PLAY? What's the point? You would rather have Cousins? He is a better QB now? eye rolling smiley

As you can see iam frustrated as hell.

When the hell are we going to find a qb worth something?

We didn't address the LB position in free agency or draft....

Just frustrated.

This year is just the reflection of last year and the years before.

And ive said it before...

You can sign suh or whoever you want but if our qb doesnt get to the next level and we cannot score points then we will be in the same situation as years before.

On another note....>LOL As far as what chren posted.....that is the funniest
post of the year. I definetely cant translate that one.

I know this is not for me but....

Maybe the point is cousins outplayed tannehill the entire game. And that hurts.

I have to agree with that. No more excuses for tannehill.

And no one mentions the perfect throw RT made over 25 yds to Cameron. Just the one he missed on.

Just goes to show that you can use stats to prove most anything you want. Tannehill's stats are better than Cousins' because Washington's corners can't catch the ball. Otherwise they're pretty much the same. Go Miami.

This is funny, now the naysayers are using "almost INTs" to bash Tannehill.........good thing this board wasn't around at the height of Marino's career

We will all be on the same page as far as bashing tannehill by the end of the year. Maybe sooner.

Knock on wood and hope iam wrong 1000 %.

Unless of course we make the playoffs and maybe win a game.

Anything else will be considered a disapointment.

Tannehill has been given every oportunity and he has been given all the weapons possible to succeed. Now its up to him and his talent.

Entering this season we were all primed with high expectations. Harvard had us going to the SB, there was talk of having a top 3 defense, because of our schedule there was a GOOD shot at starting the season at 6-0, Tannehill finally had the weapons needed to get to the next level and, we were almost certainly going to the play-offs.
Look at the crystal ball thread, everybody had us demolishing the Skins by at least double digits.
All the stuff listed above is still in play but, just not so much.
Starting the season off against two of the weaker teams in the league and get two road games out of the way, what a great start to the season. What a terrible time to stumble.
We need a convincing win on Sunday or this thread drags out for another week. That's not being a "naysayer". Just the facts ma'am.

I wish tannehill had wings.....Maybe he would be a better player like that.

Tom Brady has them.
