I know we have these posts every year, but I called today and threatened (barely) to cancel my subscription due to the NFL package costing me too much, got the NFL package for free and 40 bux off per month as long as I committed to them for a year. Not bad

Yes, basic NFL package (no red zone Chanel) for free, plus $40 off my monthly bill for a year. I called and said I wanted to cancel my account due to the NFL package being too much money and they immediately asked if I would reconsider if they worked out a deal. I strongly suggest everyone try this, it works every year.

so how much are you paying per month now?

I get offers from them all the time. The latest offering Sunday Ticket Max free and a $200 gift card. When I called to get the particulars it's still more expensive for just their service vs my current bundle package.

My solution? I pay for my brother's sunday ticket subscription and use his login credentials and watch the games on a smart tv.

My monthly bill is dropping from $116 a month to down around $70 a month

Shit...I can't even get a satellite signal where my house is - In the back of a valley with all these damn trees. The Direct TV guy tried 4 different spots on my roof last year :/

I have this. It's online only, not on your TV, and only if DTV came to your house and told you that you can't have it b/c of (for example) a tree blocking your southern exposure. In fact I think they don't even do that any more, unless you've been grandfathered in before they changed the rules. It's like $300 and you can only watch on your TV and Ipad and the quality is spotty at times.

NFL network is a much better price. I was buying the Sunday ticket from Sky Satellite out of Mexico but, they have been going up in price every year. This year it was up to 250. Instead I upped my internet speed and bought the season pass from NFL network for 130.00. Picture is excellent on my computer screen and I'll try jumping it over to a 40" screen for Sunday's game. 4 megs is supposed to be adequate for HD. It also covers Sunday night games and Monday and Thursday games which is a big deal for me since some of those games come to me on ESPN or Fox sports but, in Spanish.

Oceanic Time Warner cable has me by the balls

Before DirecTV started offering all of the games each week I used to go to a local bar to watch the Dolphins, even if I have to pay full price it's still cheaper than back in those days, I'd pay the full price but almost every single year I've been able to negotiate the price down.

Now my guide is up.

I have to call tonight and barter with the greedy pigs. It's so odd that I can add any program I wish online but I have to call to cancel any program or downgrade my package. Funny how that works.

I added the Sports pack last night so I could watch the Cubs Cards game. It advertised online that I would get the channel it was on. The channel never came through so I am canceling the garbage. it was only $11 but still false advertising. Sick of all this black out crap.

My bill is $240 a month and I only have HBO for a premium. HD, Geni BS.

I thought i was doing bad....I pay 120 a month for cable......with encore and a whole lot of other channels which i rarely watch any.....

I just cancelled everything but the base package. The best he would offer for the ticket is $30 off $250 so I cancelled it. The Dolphin game is on network tv this week so f' em. got my bill down to 105.

I'll try again this weekend to talk to someone who knows what they are doing. UGGGGG
