How will looking for a new safety impact getting Mathis?

The safety will come from within the current roster IMO.... Walt Aikens, Micheal Thomas maybe Don Jones when he gets healthy....

Dallas Thomas has been so much better these past few practices...he's making me eat crow. Been hammering him constantly and now he's good.

Turner is not ready. He looks as lost as Dallas Thomas did last year. Completely whiffed on a block or two Saturday. Unacceptable.

The way it is looking Albert will not be ready for week 1. I would feel much better with a veteran guard on the left side if Albert is not there. Move Thomas to RG.

No, he is looking for $5.5M, what he would have been paid with Phil before they cut him. Philly wasn't going to pay him that much, so why should anyone else?

Not sure where you got the $4M number.

A team that is "desperate" may be inclined to pay him a lot of money, but Miami isn't desperate; they just need to solidify that position.

He (reportedly) wants to play for Miami, but evidently not bad enough to take a pay cut.

We might be a LB and guard away from making playoffs.

Iam not worry about the safety position as much as iam about the LB and Guard spot. Also the health of our LT concerns me.

guys take time to develop. all i said was thomas is finally developing because they don't have him learning 3 positions.

not once did i say don't sign mathis.

i hadnt even read your post J......just making point that if we are under the salary cap we should do everything possible to keep tannehill healthy.
