Other than 2 holding calls the offense looks good, passing and running, Tannehill to Landry for the TD on 4th and goal!

I didn't think the starting online looked bad at all. Bad news is we have no depth .come December we will tank if we don't get some depth there. We have some work to do but our starting defense will be special.smileys with beer

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

The Bears fans here in Chicago are all giddy this morning, but our starters on offense marched right down the field and scored on it's only series, then the defense made them punt twice (correction, the Bears did get a FG in their second possession with the starters), Chicago had it's second string QB playing well into the 3rd qtr. The final score definitely doesn't reflect on how I perceived the game.

And TCP, I agree about the O-line holding it's own, and I also agree about depth. That's why I wouldn't run out and overpay for Mathis at this point, I might use that money to find a couple of decent backups instead of using it all on one guy. Now if Mathis lowers his demands a bit, then by all means go out and sign him, but I saw nothing to hit the panic button just yet.

Such a small sample size. Just a tease really. It was about as positive as you can get for one series. AND we don't even have Parker and Stills in the lineup. Only 7 passes but Jordan was not even targeted. Did he even play. I did see Sims. Great catch by Byrd.

Billy Turner is being credited for opening up a gaping hole on Miller's long run.

Gillislee did some sloppy running. Failed to tuck the ball on the correct side and was stripped after a long run. He'll never make this team anyway.

Mosley worked ahead of Anthony Johnson for the first time and rightfully so. AJ jumped off sides 3 times and did not help his case for making this team. The score card as of now has Suh, Mitchell, Phillips and Mosley on it. Not a 5th DT.

Chris McCain and Jordan Tripp with ankle injuries. I was afraid McC had torn his Achilles at first from the way it looked. Luckily that wasn't the case. Tripp is going to get a rep as injury prone before long. (Sort of like Misi). This is the same situation as last year for him.

2nd team D-line was decent with Shelby and Fede standing out. Can;t say much about the rest of the defensive backups. Vigil was active but didn't get much support. He's the only Dolphin to notch a sack all night.

With the injury prone LB's we have, our starting unit at some point may be Sheppard at MLB, Jenkins at WLB and Vigil on the strong side. I don't see Luc and Paysinger making it unless it's for ST's. They were getting torched and looked lost at times. Didn't get a good look at Hull.

I'll watch the coaches tape this weekend.

I would also say that we need Jay Ajayi to step up. Same ole, same ole for Williams except worse at under 3 yards per carry, and getting stood up on a needed power run up the middle.. James looked hesitant and had 2.6 per carry. Philbin hates guys who tap dance in the backfield.

Sturgis choked on a kick off....how many times has he done that?

LBs going down left and right.....This is the weakest position on this team...

How good is the bears defense?

1st string offense look good including guards..Maybe going against suh helps a lot...Tannehill looks great. If the Oline holds up ( Guards most of all ) tannehill is going to be great this year.

Lamar miller is the starting back and got some burst on that run. Noone can challenge him.

Where the hell was ajayi?

Tripp looking like a bust because of injuries.

Mitchell the new DT we got in the second round got some push in the pocket....On one play didnt see much of him after that....He might do wonders along side suh.

That kid we got returning kicks is very fast.....But stinks running the football.

The rb from um had a great run but fumbled he might get cut if he keeps it up.

I forget names...

landry still beating with tannehill. They going to be great together.

Jenning looks like he can still play he had a difficult grab middle of field.

The Tend we got whos supposed to be good but has contussions was nowhere to be found......But he might had something to do with the Oline blocking so well.......Did they had him to blocking the entire time?

Overall we lost but im satisfied with first teamers...We dominated the bears first teamers...

We went the entire field on offense to score a TD. on first drive.

they went 123 and out in their first drive...

Didnt see the 4th quarter but overall special teams defense was ok.

Sturgis job might be on the line if the other kid is any good...

Cant have those mistakes on kickoffs.

Our depth worries me too but they might not be that bad once we cut the scrubs....and have all the good ones play together...In the mix.

What worries me most of all is the LB position.

Is the bears defense that bad......tannehill didnt get rattled at all on the long drive..

But one drive can't tell the whole story.

More to come.

We will have an idea on the third game of pre season.

On that first series td they looked tired on the td pass.

The pass rush looked bad. They didnt even tried rushing tannehill.

Didn't see much of pregame #1. But did see Tripp hobble off the field and to the locker room. I agree he's starting to look awfully fragile. Chris McCain was hurt too. I hope things work out soon for them, I'd like to see more play, especially from Tripp. Too early to speculate on who's in and who's out. We need to stay healthy.

De nada Samsam,

Oye,

you might appreciate this better than most people on here, but every time I see that guy's name in print,

"Jay Ajayi,"

I keep thinking of

JAI-ALAI

and want to see a a bunch of Vascos firing a pelota de pellejo de cabra at about 180 mph then catch it in a cesta like it's nothing.

Am I the only one? Probably!

The TE, Jordan Cameron was in on 13 snaps. He was run blocking on 7 snaps and pass blocking on 2 snaps. Hard to do much as a receiver with only 4 snaps running a route. I think they wanted him to get some blocking experience. They know what he can do as a receiver.

Arthur Lynch got 17 snaps and was released today. 5th round flop.

Ajayi is back this week as well as Stills, who is running with 2nd team behind Mathews. Working his way back I am guessing.

The rookie DT is Phillips, not Mitchell.

Yes phillips.......He was in the backfield a lot in the game. Has a good push...

They say suh is mentoring him. Only good things can come out of that.

I actually used to watch the sport. And bet a little bit on it too. Haven't been there since they made it a casino. I don't like that they draw attention away from the sport, but I do know that the place would have folded completely if they hadn't made the change, so I get it.

The first team on offensive looks pretty good. So does our first team defense. I am still concerned over depth though. Significant drop in ability based on what I've see thus far.

Another preseason game should reveal more.
