Not sure what we got... I hope it was a 3rd but doubt it...

We got (2) 5th rd picks and gave up our 6th rd pick to trade back from 47 to 52.

good trade.

I think we do it one more time. Then we take BPA and trade up into the 3rd for a need (OG?).

Why we just broke the bank on Suh? Could we be moving some 5ths and players for a third?

I heard he is first round talent

We obviosuly didn't feel great with just Mitchell, Francis and Fede playing next to Suh... If this guy can play and demands double teams as suggested, the opposing offenses are in trouble with 2 guys in the middle that both need to be double teamed...

I agree we need a guard but We also have (4) 5th rd picks right now, which gives us a lot of flexibility right now to move up or pick 4 guys in the 5th...

Agreed. Dolphins were smart to grab a tackle. people are higher on Mitchell than I am. He was part of the line that got bashed last year. Need to fortify that unit.

Yeah, DT probably wasn't out biggest need, but we did lose Starks and Odrick. Suh replaces one or the other, but we did need depth. Anyway, I believe in drafting BPA over drafting for need, and if PhilHickenBaum felt that Philips was the BPA, then so be it.

6'6" 334lbs and very athletic for hiz size...this Jordan Phillips is a friggen monster. Just read an article that our O'line coach and Phillips immediately hit it off & made a connection during his pre-draft visit to the team and lobbied to get him.

Yes this team has other needs, but I get what the Dolphins are doing here. We play NE twice a year and we need to beat them up front when they have the ball. Anything that Miami can do to make Tom Brady's life miserable is what it takes to beat them. The more I think about it, the more I like this pick.

Super stoked about this pick. I had him and Goldman as best DTs. Goldman is better because of leverage and technique, but Phillips rare.
