I heard on NFL network that their is a team in the first round behind Minnesota who is trying to leapfrog the Vikings and take Harvin.

They said he is not going to fall past the Vikings anyway.

I wonder who the team is?????

are you encenduating that eesti is talking to himself and responding to his own posts because he is some split personality Dolphins blogger? none the lease, i found the rumor interesting especially given Harvin's expected 1st round plummet.

And maybe it is Tennessee, because it sure ain't Miami looking to trade up to get him. I mean our draft is already set in stone. Like 90%...

25. Laurinitis
44. Nicks
56. Smith

Absolute guarantee. You heard it here first.

LOL...

I will cry if we take JL at 25. He is not a dominant enough player to be chosen as an ILB over a higher valued position like WR, CB or OLB. If he was faster, more fluid and a bigger hitter then maybe but not now. He is not of the same caliber as Patrick Willis or Jerod Mayo....closer to AJ Hawk.

I remarked to PF-2 the other day that a well respected source said that Nicks is dropping because of stupidity (commitment). He was worked out last week by a team and could not finish the route tree because he was so winded after gaining over 15 lbs and sitting on his butt for the last month. They had to cut the workout short. Doesn't help when you look at that next to his wonderlic. Casserly also said he will have trouble getting separation in the NFL.

Pf-2 said he would pay no attention if they did not name the source but Charlie Casserly said it and I don't think he would say it if he didn't believe it to be true.

Nicks dropped behind Robiskie and Britt IMO.

I think Smith will go before either James L or Nicks.

I agree. I watched some youtube video of JL's highlights and I didn't see one impact play--all his tackles are moving backwards or 10 yards down field. Not impressed at all.
Really there is no one projected at 25 I am all that impressed with. That's why I really hope we trade down. If not then I hope Jenkins or Malaluga fall to us. Maybe Larry English.
Or that we take Moreno and trade Ronnie for a 2d. Would that be nuts?

They did talk about Malaluga falling. Because he can't cover on pass plays, and a team that takes him will either be rich at LB and be able to take him out, or convince themselves that he is adequate. The draft is crappy for ILB's. What is there after Malaluga, - Laurinitis? - Beckwith his string of knee injuries?

Corners will go early, with the idea that if you don't have a decent corner you'll have to double-cover receivers and that leaves your run defense exposed. But I'd rather have better OLB's to rush the QB.

Laurinitis is considered a safe pick for the right system. He won't be a great player but he'll be reliable. And trifecta are safe drafters. They picked Jake over Matty Ice, linemen like Merling over skill players, game managers like Pennington, and scraping by with average talented receivers.

Harvin will plummet. He'll drop to us, but we shouldn't take him. Hopefully, we can get Nicks. If he gained weight, who cares. Our workout program will get him in shape.

A lot of receivers will be there for us at 25. But not so many at 44.

We have all heard the Fo say it a million times..."We want...Big, strong, tough, smart, disciplined football players

Does Harvin really fit that description? Not too smart and how disciplined is he now if he can't avoid the chronic for a few months?
